Is Brett Liquor a new beer?

Looks like I 'll be coming in after the madness dies down in the afternoon. Haven't been to DD yet. If they sell some bottles at 4:30, how long of a wait in line is it? Will I be able to see the stage from the line? I really want to see Powermad at 5.

 

Depends on the length of the line. Normally the line winds around inside the brewery, but from the haziness of what I recall from last year, it really died down in the afternoon so you shouldn't have too much of a problem getting bottles, and if you do, just have a glass or two of the two kegs they're pouring each hour.

And yes, Brett Liquor is a new beer, and I plan to kill the keg early on in the fest...muahahaha!

 

That list is just for the actual event, though. Last year they opened a couple kegs at various spots in the line, and that included Damien, Moe's Bender, and some others. If it happens on Saturday, you can recognize it by the frat-party style mob of people trying to inch their way to the keg.

 

I wish there had been a keg of Damien. There were two kegs of Moe's Bender last year, one of which was universally panned. The other, thankfully was right next to us, and was delicious. To my knowledge, Surly provided no other kegs for free.

 

there was a keg of damien that omar took to the way back for those who missed the cut on bottles.

 

Care if I join? I am going to be a first timer too, and I'll be by myself travelling up from Florida. Got a few Cigar City beers I am sending up to my brother's apt and will have them to share this weekend.

 

If you have an extra for a Floridian making a long trek to DD, it would be much appreciated!

By all means! It's always good to meet a fellow beer geek. I'd love to try some Cigar City stuff; are you bringing any good gourd? Hunahpu's?

my favorite beer Surly has made btw long shot. Damn good.

 

I succumbed to eBay and got one for $90 with a Surly 5, traded the 5 for a RR Beat. One day I will get to enjoy that beautiful bottle...
