This years Angels is phenomenal. Easily the best dark beer I've had from Bissell. Don't sleep on Ties that Bind either, also the best sour I've had from them.

Have they released any of their wilds in bottles yet?

@mike_v_sardina Great show on the BN! Just made my latest 3 hour drive go by in no time. Great to hear Noah’s perspective and debunk so many things that are attributed to a “style” that no one in New England intended to create.

Hey @mike_v_sardina , looking forward to my first visit in a while this Saturday! What are the odds of landing Swish/Subby cans around 1pm?

Generally I'd say your chances are very low at 1 pm, but with a high temp of 4 on Saturday and wind chills well into the negatives that morning, it may deter some of the line waiters and let the beer hang around a little longer. I know I'm not going, at least not before they open.

Thanks for the kind words about the show! Noah and I both "cut our teeth" when it comes to beer listening to the Brewing Network, so as to speak. It was super thrilling for me to be able to get him onto the session. The recording is excellent, but it was an incredible blast to be there watching Noah and JP spar about hazy IPA. Overall, a great night having our beers out in Cali and opening up people's minds to what NE IPA is really all about...

    Glad you enjoyed man!

    Hey man!

Super cool to hear you're visiting again here on Saturday... Total curve ball with the storm yesterday, has left us with a lot of beer... We will have three different beers available today, some of that might roll into tomorrow, with potentially a higher amount of Subby available on Saturday.

I'm guessing 300 cases Swish, ~100 cases Subby for Saturday. 1:00pm would be close for definitely getting cans, but not unheard of...

Let me know if there's anything else I can do to help. Hope everyone is safe and sound after the storm!

Is there a place to check what cans are still available? I'm thinking about going up to portland saturday but the only thing i'd be interested in picking up is Umbra.

    Hey there!

We post about the availability of cans -- i.e., what beer(s) are available in cans, what the total case count is, and what the limit per person is -- on a daily basis across all of the "big three" social media platforms (Instagram, twitter, and Facebook).

Unfortunately, Umbra will most likely sell out today, or if any rolls over into tomorrow, very early on in the AM. We'll have a new batch of Umbra on February, 7!

Resolve is a Dark Hoppy Ale... Think "Black IPA"...

Thinking of heading to Portland on the 24th for my very-most personal favourite, Reciprocal. I haven't been to Bissell probably since last winter - anyone have a feel for what the limits have been and whether they're opening at twelve sharp or a little earlier like they do for Swish?

I got recip when I was there in early December, limits were 3 4-pcks and 2 4-pcks of subby.

I had to get there early just due to how my schedule was, so I was there 40 minutes before open and line was maybe 40-60 deep. Once they opened the doors it was maybe 10 minutes in line. This was a Saturday so not sure how that affects things.

Yeah, Saturdays and weekdays during the winter are totally different things. I was there an hour early on a Saturday when the line was already wrapped back around the corner with another line out back. Another time I was there an hour early on a Wednesday and I was the only one there and Peter was looking at me like I was damaged and keeping away from me in case I was dangerous.

    Love me some Reciprocal too!

So, for Wednesday, January 24, we will open at 12:00pm for cans. Although Reciprocal is a killer beer, Wednesday's usually aren't too crazy and probably won't be for that release. The limit will be (most likely) three 4-packs per person, and there might be a short(ish) line, but it shouldn't be too crazy...

Let me know if you need any more info! Cheers man.

There are almost always plenty of cans to last the day...
