Was in Philly last week trying to get a taste of PTY, but to no avail. I did however get introduced to some new brews. In particular Half Acre's Daisy Cutter, and it did not disappoint. My question is where is it readily available in Chicago, and or northern Indiana. I know I'm way down here in Alabama, and would gladly trade some for our Good People (IPA, Brown, Snake Handler DIPA), but I'm thinking about making a trip up, and wanted to know where I can expect to find it. Is the brewery the best place to start? Is there any place in that area that ships it? In any event, way to go Chicago. A fantastic brew that immediately made it into my top 10.

The brewery is an awesome place to start as you can growlers of there flagships as well as any seasonal they have on or special one offs if you're lucky to catch one. They also do tours there, but you have to sign up for those kind of far in advance. Most liquor stores in the mid to northern Chicagoland area will carry their brews in addition to some stores in the western and northern suburbs.

Available right here in Chicago, and *cough* some friendly trader would gladly ship you some for some readily available brews that we don't get here.

You can get it at most reputable liquor stores, or any Binny's in the Chicagoland area. It's a good-un.

Try and trade for Zombie Dust if you can. Or head to FFF. I got some in a trade, and I've had Daisy Cutter a couple times. I don't like Daisy Cutter very much at all, and ZD blows it out of the water. Since FFF is right there, might as well grab both and compare.

I'm a big FFF fan, and grab Gumballhead, and a bomber or two of Dreadnaught whenever I'm nearby. I've had Arctic Panzer Wolf and wasn't impressed, but have heard the Zombie is outstanding. Thanks for the heads up.

Very much love FFF. Interestingly, you may be the first I've met who likes Dreadnaught but not Panzer Wolf. It was pub fresh, and you didn't dig it? Interesting.

BM anytime if you want to do a trade for something local to you.

yeah dude you can find Daisy Cutter all over Chicago, it isn't tough to get here, if you ever make a trip up here you should just fill up your car/bag with Snake Handler and Fatso, I (and I suspect a lot of other Chicagoans) would love to trade for it

Zombie is great... but... you are right at Daisy Cutter is straight up awesome. When I move away from Chicago this summer it will probably be the single thing I miss the most. Now Zombie Dust might actually be a better overall beer (ok... it is), but it's not easy to get. So great have Daisy Cutter on tap at every single bar basically. Glad you enjoyed it!

If you trade... try to see if the person can snag a double daisy cutter for you. It's daisy cutter on steroids. I think I like regular better, but it's a super interesting beer.

Def try and take the tour. They do them at 1pm every sat unless there's a holiday or something. You don't have to sign up, it's first come first serve. However, I believe they still honor the old print out reservations if they're still floating around. If u take the tour I would suggest getting there no later than 12:15 as they only let 60 ppl in (used to only let 40 ppl in so this is slightly better).

This is not about beer, but judging by your avatar you must be a Steelers fan. Go Steelers, and Pens. I grew up in northern West Virginia about an hour from Pittsburgh.
