May 8th this year we received our 2 included bottles.

First come / first-served since it is part of the holiday sale.

It was a set of 16/17 BT and BT Madeira.

I need to go back and taste Sucre Madeira against some other Sucre variants. I was blown away by how much wine flavor was in BT Port this year on tap, I wondered if they poured me Vindictive II by mistake. Was BT Madeira similar?

Sucre Madeira has a lot of wine notes. Very different from the spirit barrel versions. But, it also still tastes predominately like Anniversary (unlike the wine overtaking in Vindictive).

Is there no Days of Xmas sale today? If so, is the sale over?

Its' not an error. And it was the distributor who had too much of it, They were discounting it deeply to the retailer. Honestly i STILL don't think they will all sell quickly.

Well in AZ we have a strange situation,. We have a surplus of beers from great breweries and lots of really nice stuff sits on shelves for a long time. But only a few years ago the distribution AZ much less diverse. So people who were already pretty into beer are overwhelmed (i see multiple times every week in the stores) and many still balk at $25 - $45 beers.

Also specific to this situation: it seems like of the AZ folks who are in the know either are or have friends who are society members so i anecdotally it seems that Bruery beers don't sell exceptionally well at retail in AZ. But i don't know what the data shows.

Any opinions on how this beer came out ? I have had it yet and see there's still bottles up for sale. I've seen some reviews but i always feel like i prefer to hear from Society members most on the weird Bruery stuff.

Can't help but wonder how many out of state "retailers" are Hoarders.

If I would have been more or less fortunate on my next move I would have been living in AZ next year. If I was that close I'd just bite the bullet and make the drive every now and then instead of buying local. Especially because it's tough to say what will make it to retail and what will not.

There may be plenty, but nothing I buy from my membership goes anywhere except my mouth. In GA if I was to sell anything that I got through Hoarders we'd loose our licence and pay a very hefty fine.

Had Humulus Lager last night... may this beer never be removed from The Bruery's wheelhouse again! Absolutely fantastic IPL!

Late to the party since allocations were months ago, but I just tried One Way or Another for the first time yesterday at Terreux and that's probably the most interesting beer I've had this year. The lemon gives it a super unique flavor that's simultaneously tart and refreshing, and for being a Cascade collab I was (pleasantly) surprised at how light the sourness was. Really excellent beer imo.
