Shoreview Cub had two cases of Iowa Sue this afternoon

 

For those in the SW fringes of the metro. Harbor Liquor AKA Mound Municipal still has Triple Barrel Baptist, Baptista, Rum King, Rum and Tequila Barrel Abyss.

 

Saw at least 4 at elevated beer and wine in white bear lake late yesterday. Anyone know if any rum king can remnants around st paul?

 

Central Ave and Stinson had a few cases of Rum King a few days ago.

Both OK to good but at 500ml @$16 its a pass.

Just spotted 12 bottles of CBS in the cooler at Liquor Boy in SLP for $24.99 for anyone still looking.

 

Able Seedhouse + Brewery's 'Big Blk Wlf' imperial stout is a real surprise. At 9.8% ABV, the beer is a higher alcohol content beer from this brewery, but the beer is real treat. Canned in 8 ounce cans (a preferable size to sample this beer). Balanced tastes of dark chocolate, dark fruit, caramel, and roasted coffee.

 

At least yours had date stamps. Date to smudged on every box to read, no dates on the cans. I only bought it because it just arrived at the store today. Needless to say I won't be buying anymore with out dates...

Thought I’d post this for those seeking out the Iowa brewed Pseudo Sue. I picked up a 4 pack this week and this is my 2nd can. I was withholding any judgement after my first can hoping it was just a fluke, but as you can see, even with a slow pour this beer looks like a snow globe. The first can was worse and i ended up drain pouring the last third of the can, but i made sure to pour this can very slowly and it’s still pretty bad. As some have said already, it’s nice that it’s brewed in Iowa again, but this will be probably be my only 4 pack that i buy for the foreseeable future. It’s too bad, i used to drive to Casanova and buy this stuff by the case back in the olden days...

 

I hope this is just the canning run we got. I had heard the first run from the new brewery that went on tap at the tap room was like this. My guess is the canning run was from that batch or an earlier batch.

I hope it is just a matter of getting dialed in with the new equipment. It looks like the canning run that Chicago got is not like this, so there is some hope.

 

As of fifteen minutes ago, there were a couple bottles of Bourbon Country Barleywine on the counter at Scott's Liquors, along with several 2017 BCS. They also had Off Color BA Growl & $6.99 Florida PSue, if you're into that kind of thing.

 

Any sightings of Hop Bullet yet?

 

I just bought some at Surdyks. They have Dino Smores and Loonidragon as well.
