Try and track down a bottle of Cascade's version... same ingredients but tow pretty different beers. Cascade's had more sour notes compared to the Terreux's more jammy notes.

Anyone know what other releases are slated for January other than PB+Jelly Thursday? Kind of missing the "On the Horizon" section of the emails.

Well @BruerJoel , I stopped by the tasting room and ended up with 13 crowlers... The line was to the door after that (not sure how much of that was my fault) Maybe this new app will help with advance crowler ordering?

I also bought two and a half cases of bottles that were not available through the website (Levud, Mischief v2, old Autumn Maple, Arbre 3-packs, Chron 6 Old Ale, discounted Smooth Criminal) which means instead of easy fulfillment center pickup I took up people's time in the tasting room, which I felt a little bad about.

Bottom line, my car is happily filled with beer for a couple days at the in-laws (and beyond).

P.s. tried BA 6 Geese on draft. Don't know if the "revealing sour notes" is similar to bottles or not, but sour was incredibly faint on draft. I'm not a sour fan at all and I still bought a crowler to share at Christmas Part 2 (not sure I would have bought to drink on my own).

Interested myself. I enjoyed the "on the horizon" section.

Was extremely excited to see Melange 15 on shelves at BevMo and bought two of the remaining three. Opened it last night to find out quite spoiled/infected. Would this be due to the bottle being infected from the beginning, or would it be due to being on BevMo shelves for too long? Also, would my second bottle be sure to be infected also?

M15 is known to have infection problems so it was probably infected from the start. The Bruery has issued refunds for that beer if you bought from them, but idk how it works if you buy from a third party. Would definitely recommend at least returning the other bottle to BevMo and maybe see if they'll comp you for the first one.

Hold on to the other bottle as well, if The Bruery can do anything about that they'll want the batch info engraved somewhere on the glass.

Frankly, I don't like the new email format... at all! Hopefully, if enough of us leave feedback on it, they'll change it back.

Yes, because everyone who walks into BevMo is going to be aware of which Bruery batches were infected. Let's not lay any responsibility on the brewery that produced the infected beer, nor on the retailer selling it - this is clearly a fault with the consumer.

Bake This: Apple Pie Again is legit. Really nails the flavor and still works great as a beer. Hope it gets bottled!

@BruerJoel regarding the email today about the Kickoff Celebration (and really in general for all 2018 events), how are our designated friends effected?

Will they be allowed to buy tickets or would I need to buy tickets for them? And, would I have attend as well (unlikely since I'm in Norcal)? Meaning could one of my designated friends attend with a couple of their friends without me being present?

Good question! It's the same as previous years - the member has to be present for the event. You're able to buy a ticket for a guest (for most events, including this). The designated friend is only for receiving your discount and access in our Tasting Rooms or DC store.

Quick question, is anyone else having difficulty purchasing Humulus Lager and selecting DC pickup? I wasn't able to pick DC pickup the first time it was available and cannot choose that option today (It isn't an option, just CA). @BruerJoel , can you check on this?

Sorry for any confusion. 2017 allocations are only available for pickup or shipping within CA. Reserve Society and Hoarders Society members who selected DC fulfillment for 2018 will be able to select and pick up 2018 allocations from DC in 2018.

@BruerJoel Also regarding the e-mail referenced in the post above, are DC members no longer receiving notifications about CA society events and/or no longer able to purchase tickets to society events in CA? My e-mail only referenced initial package pick ups at the DC store and had no mention of the Kickoff event and i do not see tickets for the kickoff event available to purchase in the webstore. I'm not planning on being in CA in January so not really concerned about this particular event but i do attend the anniversary party every year and would like to think that is something i am still able to attend. If not, would be good to know sooner rather than later before making travel arrangements!

We will be offering events in DC as we move into 2018. Anniversary Festival tickets and Black Tuesday Release Party tickets will be open to all Reserve Society and Hoarders Society members, regardless of fulfillment location selection.

@BruerJoel is this a reversal of the below quote, or something else entirely?
