I stopped at Disgruntled Brewing today. 'Stupid Good' is not available. A few beers are available in crowlers. I bought crowlers of 'Double Juicy' and 'Juicylicious', both filled in November. Other beers are available on tap or as growler fills.
The back brewing room was dark, so I asked if any beers are being brewed. The answer was "No". I asked if there is a current search for a replacement brewer, and the answer was, "That's the plan".
The web site has been updated to remove the "About Us" section, which included Brett's picture, and how he described his approach to brewing beer.

I don't know much about the folks opening this...but given the location, should we expect Wayzata Brew Works like pricing...$7/pint?

I'd be willing to pay that just as long as I get a piece of cake to go with it...given the location. :sunglasses:

Yes! WBW will never lower their prices when their lease is so high. Look for better food out of them next year.

Since, it's in the wealthier part of Edina I would venture to guess a few NHLers who play pick up hockey at Lewis Park will likely be hanging out there.

I don't think so, at least based on location. My office is right around the corner & it was one of the cheaper office spaces per square foot I found (when the building was still nice).

Which may mean nothing, but it's in a weird little industrial corner of Edina whose nearest neighbors are office buildings, postal buildings, & a bit further away, hotels.

Disagree not in a "weird little industrial corner" there are huge residential neighbors very close going NW to Hwy 62 and even more dense neighborhoods just across Hwy 62 to the north, another huge residential neighborhood is just to the east of Hwy 100 north to 62 and south to 494 very dense with folks that have disposable income, and that like brew.

I am shocked that you would disagree.

But we were talking about the location & how that might impact the price of a pint. I was coming at it from a "Gee, based on personal experience, I suspect that the rent/location isn't going to be a big factor in beer pricing". If you want to argue that the wealth of the neighborhood might cause them to charge $7 a pint, we'll see, but this place definitely doesn't have a lakeside view of Lake Minnetonka...nor the associated fixed costs.

I hope that clarifies things for you.

Wow!! It does clarify that you know about inexpensive commercial sq footage and little else. The area will support a brewpub in an Industrial are surrounded by folks that live just blocks away and like to drink beer in an Industrial area Gee based on that i suspect people will be flocking there . What do i know thou you are the king of disagreement based on all of your negative posts on all topics.

I know! I grew up with a St. Bernard. They're awesome dogs. Ours weighed 250 lbs. full grown & could lay her head on the kitchen table. Her lone litter consisted of 18 pups...evidently she cross-bred with a German Shepherd. That was a crazy few weeks with all that fur around.

    Very agreeable dog, too. :stuck_out_tongue:

Did not have this on my radar but looks like 3 MN beer industry friends are starting their own brewery in MINNEAPOLIS of all places. Good for them I say .

    https://www.arbeiterbrewing.com/product/arbeiter-union-membership/

Contributions of $1000 to $5000 garner 3x taproom credits.

The map on Arbeiter's website is focused on the neighborhoods of Seward, Longfellow, and Powderhorn, which is north of Lake Hiawatha, and kind of centered around Lake Street East. I wonder what the actual address of the establishment will be. The principals listed appear to be industry veterans.

very interesting it would be nice have another brewery in the area. and it sounds like it will not be another IPA is king brewery. We don't need another IPA brewery.
