I don't think entitlement means what you think it means. His post makes pretty valid points.

The fact that people are this up in arms about a brewery hat is trying to build a following and giving away free beer/swag (!!!) sums up everything wrong with the craft beer community. People bitch for the sake of bitching.

Entitlement? Anger? What are you even talking about? Where in my post do you see either of those being demonstrated? FYI, I'd look up "entitlement" before dropping that one again.

Your post was telling all of us to "get your hands on" their beer. Good for you, they gave you free beer. I've asked for some as well and haven't seen a response. I'd love to try some, it looks pretty good.

My comment was highlighting how getting and trying their product is not at all an option for 99% of the beer drinking public at the moment and how, frankly, obnoxiously incessant their posting of all their different beers is for a place that doesn't sell beer.

Try asking again, I think you might need to try asking.

Asking a second time is begging. And begging for beer from a brewery that doesn't sell beer is lame. This thread should be closed until they're an actual brewery.

All of these things can be true at the same time. They might be making great beer, and by all accounts seem like really nice people. It is also true that, for a place that is not open and does not sell beer, they post more photos on IG that the established breweries that I follow. Had to unfollow, but will happily check them out when they open.

Close the thread until they're an actual brewery? Jesus, I hope you're trolling.

People could also exercise a bit of self control and not open a thread for a brewery they're not interested in, though that's probably asking a bit too much.

I’m not sure about others, but I am interested in the brewery. I waited a month or so to click back to see if there was any news. None yet, just the same comments from both sides of the fence. I’ll see you guys in January

Jbrews posted a review of the beers he tried from them and his experience dealing with one of the owners this week. Their social media is always going to be a better place for "news" but there certainly seems to be people that want to talk about them and are doing so in a productive manner in this thread. Suggesting it be shut down because people can't help themselves from clicking on the thread and get annoyed that they're not yet open is pretty childish.

Yup childish. In this increasingly competitive market, good for them for getting the word out.

People are complaining about getting free beer and NOT getting free beer. JFC.

I'll add I drove 2+ hours to get it. So it's not like it just showed up in the mail.

I'm assuming the brewery name will change from "Vitamin Sea" when it hits the market. TTB rules prohibit words like vitamin on alcohol packaging. I did a quick search to see if there were any exceptions. Only thing I found was gag products or pre-prohibition packaging (before current rules).
