How common is Boxer's Revenge in Austin?

Currently unavailable. Haven't seen it for about a month or two in any of the major stores.

They only bottle it once a year.

Depending on how things roll out, you might be able to score some Funk Metal though (I'm assuming that's dropping sometime in November).

Check out Central Market... they have most limited releases behind the counter (1 per customer, unfortunately, so bring a friend) so they have things much longer. They had Boxers for a good month or two after everyone else was out.

 

I'd call the Specs and Whole Foods in Bee Caves. I've found stuff there MONTHS after its long gone everywhere else. Not a lot of beer geeks out that way!

 

LOL. If there's really Boxer's in Bee Caves... I might have to make that drive.

 

You'd be surprised. That place is my secret gold mine. Well worth the drive most of the time, and the Whole Foods has pretty good growler taps most of the time too

 

The big Twin Liquors across the way is worth checking out as well, if you are already out there.

 

I would go up there all the time if the traffic near the 71/290 split weren't such a pain in the ass most days. I'll have to check it out sometime soon.

I do remember finding a 2009 bottle of Stone IRS at Spec's there last year.

Is there a Twin Liquor's Marketplace up there? The one over on 35/41st sucks as far as beer goes.

 

Take Southwest Parkway and avoid that mess.

 

I dont know about Austin, but it can still be found in SA. bought some at HEB on Sunday, Specs had some up until a few weeks ago

Gabriel's has several cases of it on the floor. They even had Whiskey Rodeo on the floor up until last week sometime.
