Damn was really hoping to get them tonight. Guess it’s a early morning tomorrow.

I share the same sentiment. I planned everything to get in tonight so I COULD get bottles tonight. Oh well.

Anybody have an idea of when they let people line up inside today? I'm driving up in the AM but really not interested in sitting in the car or standing outside for an extended period of time.

JO's tweeted yesterday that they would be opening early because of how cold it would be even though the bottles wouldn't sell until 11 AM

Earlier than 9 am. They started selling stuff at 10 am, so that was opening and not 11 am like they said it would be.

Oh man the butthurt is gonna be strong for this one.

No matter what is said, bottom line is this was/is the best, smoothest release I’ve ever been too. So we’ll run and... those free donuts and coffee? Clutch. Well done JO’s.

Ps. I was here before open and missed on Nilla App, zero issue to me.

Friends just arrived and said there is no line for bottles. My guess is they got through the morning rush. Line may pick up though as people leave work/travel in for the rest of the day.

Got here about 1:30 and no wait for bottles. Service was outstanding from the packaging up of selections to taking bottles out to your car. A+

Now on to the draft selection...

Wow. I still wish I had the time to head down there this weekend. Some great sounding things on draft and love the food

Agreed on outstanding service. You had employees asking if you wanted a beer while you waited, employed offering free donuts and coffee, employees willing to transport your bottles to your vehicle as well as the makeshift tent area where employees would hold beers by the brewery while u went to get your car.

Also all Jackie Os employees were super nice and personable. Can’t ask for much more!

No doubt Jackie O's has the smoothest releases. The Vanilla App thing is whatever, the not selling bottles after 6 is kind of a surprise though. That being said, I will go enjoy some delicious brews and some coffee in the morning.

I got to the Taproom a little after 11 and thought maybe I could get some vanilla Appervation. They said it sold out in 20 minutes. I ended up being forced to drink swill like coffee Black Maple and a 2013 BB coffee Oil.

Coffee Black Maple and Tiramisu Brick Kiln were pretty delicious, which floored me because I'm not a fan of regular Black Maple. Coconut Champion Ground was the big draw today but I actually enjoyed those first two better.

I think Herringbone was our favorite of the day today--so much so we stopped back at the brewery to see if they'd sold out of bottles, which they had. Must've been a small batch because almost no one around us checked that box for the single bottle. I've had more than a few funky strawberry beers and they usually end up sliding into the absolute extreme funk category. This one was the jammiest strawberry wilds I've ever had, with an excellent balance between funky and sour and not too much of either.

I also have to pile on the praise regarding the hospitality and organization as well--opened early again, got people through efficiently while pouring some beers, brought boxes out to cars, no hassle in any way. Not sure about the earlybirds yesterday, but crowds this morning were tolerable too.

@beace I just wanted to thank you for putting on an absolutely excellent event. The tap lists all weekend were great. The bottle sale was by far the smoothest, easiest, and most hospitable I've ever seen.

Tiramisu Brick Kiln was by far my favorite beer of the weekend. I liked the Houndstooth better than Dynamo Hum.

I wasn't in love with Spirit Beast like I have been the past few years, but I think with some time it'll mellow out into a great beer.

Also, I learned that Ground Cherries are a thing!

Look forward to coming out and eating more curds in the future!

I've finally recovered..... I think. Bravo to Jackie O's on an amazing event. The bottle sale, tappings, employees.... all of it was just top notch. I was a fan before, but an even bigger one now. I just wish I lived closer than 3.5 hours away.

Agreed... the anniversary party was an excellent event. First time there and really enjoyed it. Tiramisu Brick Kiln stole the show for me (to be fair I missed Vanilla Appervation and Granola Black Maple). Houndstooth and Herringbone were excellent too.

Unfortunately I cant say the same about the bottle of Dynamo Hum I opened today. It was basically flat - a little carb on first pour then nada - and not like I remember it being on draft (twice) a week ago flavorwise, just more nondescript sour than anything. Too expensive of a beer to be that disappointing.

Should've just bought 2 more bottles of Houndstooth - which is awesome - instead of Dynamo Hum. Hopefully others have better luck with their bottles.

Completely agree with you on Houndstooth. Really reminded me of Side Project Fencerow. Also the label design and quality is very high.

Interesting, as Fencerow is a beer I've really been wanting to get my hands on. Sounds like I'd really enjoy it as well.

But yeah, JO's really nailed it with Houndstooth.

Anyone know what beers were blended to create this year's Spirit Beast? Sorry if this was already answered in previous posts but I couldn't seem to find it.

I think @beace could answer the best but the bottle, or something said it was heavy on the barleywines and finished off with a stout or two. Not sure I ever saw a exact list.
