Small price ($2.67 per unit) to pay for peace of mind, though I can sympathize with those aren't too keen on it as it adds up.

that's a no brainer join for me. hope beer friends get first opportunity to join.

can't wait for Chinatown to open. sounds like it will be soonish if they are already hiring servers etc

My question about Chinatown is: will they have the 'dilla?

I’m really excited about the Chinatown location, especially since it’s closer to me, but also I love the Highland Park crew.

I guess I’ll just alternate between them.

Yeah, I love the Hermosillo and people who work there. I live in Silver Lake and they are probably about the same distance, so will probably alternate between. I go to downtown a lot

A pretty big one compared to at the Herm, tbh. Should make for some solid food

I meant to post this last night night but never hit the reply button. If this is going to be like your typical beer club I hope they've learned from the mistakes of others.

What are the mistakes of others? I’ve never joined any other beer clubs but I’d obviously be in for the HPB one.

I’ve never really bothered looking into other memberships though I meant to join the Cellador one and forgot.

Check the Hangar 24 thread for how NOT to run a club. hahahaha They have gotten better in the last year, though.

Even Modern Times made some mistakes and the Bruery has been doing it forever and has had some missteps in the last year or two (I'm a long time Hoarder although I don't buy much from the Bruery any more, during the years I was buying from them a lot I thought they handled everything really really well).

Which is awesome but the fuuuuuuuck was more for that feeling you get when the beer you drove 2 hours to bring home with you fails half way through. hahaha

Honestly pretty much the only thing I drink these days is HPB. Throw in the occasional cans from Brouwerij West, Modern Times, or random other gems when I stop by Southland Beer or Vendome (like the Saison Bernice I purchased last night).

Crowlers have been a game changer.

for whatever reason it seems like Bruery has the most hyper-critical, anal members (not including you in that). I feel like poor Bruery can't get a break. they run an amazing membership and have amazing customer service, yet people want to spend 15 pages complaining about a bottle opener or pin

Yeah, I think they handle fixing their rare mistakes very well. And I've used my bottle opener twice now and it hasn't broken! hahaha

Ah so you're only capable of a somewhat non-sarcastic response in the HPB thread. Makes sense. ; )

In all seriousness, what's the eta on Chinatown?

I hope they turn their entire menu into elote based items. Not just the 'dillas be they big or small! Elote salsa! Elote corndogs! Elote sliders! Elote chowder! And then they should go on ahead and do an elote beer! YEEEAAAAH!
