Great minds, etc. Of course, given the article's title, my post pretty much wrote itself.
This is anecdotal, so take it with the requisite grain of salt. I visited World of Beer in Columbus a while back (OSU campus location) and had the pleasure of playing Jenga with some college kids who were drinking Chimay Blue. I hope this is a leading indicator.

As far as AB's advertising goes, they are at their level best when they stick with horses and dogs. Too bad they'd rather go for the lowest common denominator. As much as I'd like to take a crack at four Super Bowl tickets for life (their latest promotion), the thought of having to sit in an AB corporate skybox with a bunch of dipwads yelling "Dilly dilly" is enough to put me off the whole proposition (unless they have BCBS on tap or a selection of 18-year-old single malts available, in which case all bets are off).

Do people that brew terrible craft beers look at them and think, "Damn that's good!" Or are they just produced with the knowledge that it's expensive beer for the Untappd masses, young adults with disposable income, etc?

No doubt there are bad beers across the spectrum. In the interest of being objective. I've had some absolutely terrible craft beer that I would prefer an AAL to.

The article is total click bait. Beers people no longer drink? Seems like people drink boat loads of most of the beers listed.

It's ok, Hamms is not on this list. I have had a hard time finding this beer lately. It is always sold out at my grocery store!

It's a sad day when crappy beers sales slow down. It's scary really.

I don't know if you're trying to be funny with that but it's been a while since I had any of these beers on the list. I have had quite a bit of all 3 in college and no they don't all taste the same. Natty light is super harsh and not sure I could drink these days, almost like stale vodka with water. Busch Light although not great is somewhat drinkable for first half and finishes with some nasty harsh flavoring. Bud light just tastes like piss but goes down like water despite being flavorless. All horrible but all taste different and if blind folded I could pin point which beer is which.

You would think Colt 45 or something like that would have hit the list. I don't see that selling much if ever.
Isn't that the original juicy drink..... The granddaddy of todays juice bombs, hazy and chewy, it had it all.

California Cooler was pulpy, somewhere between too sweet and maybe just dry enough, but it tasted like juice. Not to mention the orange and tropical flavors.

I don't have to be put on my knees and forced to drink a NEIPA, if I had to point to anything that would be the major difference.

I always find it hilarious when Americans and American Supermarkets bundle in Labatt, Moosehead, (insert Canadian AAL) in with high quality exports.

I don't think I've ever heard some describe Natural Light as harsh. Not even a 15 year old girl at her first under-aged keg party. When I think of harsh I think of Arrogant Bastard/PalletWrecker etc. myself but to each there own I guess. Most kids in college prefer Natty Light because its probably the least-harsh product on the market. It really pushes the "beer flavored water" to the low end extreme.

The latter. Especially with College kids.

Harsh as in cloying harsh. Arrogant bastard and palate wrecker I find not to be harsh but rather delicious. Those are harsh as in boozy, Natty is harsh as disgusting. Also PBR, Hamms, and Genessee Cream (if findable) are much better options for college students.
