Sorry, probably should also have said on Twitter, which was where I first saw the announcement.

Looking forward to trying this as there aren't enough Black IPAs around at all. Wookey Jack was retired just before FW started distro. here in CT. Gotta give a shout out to Stone Sublimely Self Righteous....RIP.

This is going to be my favorite LvU beer for sure.

TBH, I wasn't a fan of the other 3. I much prefer Luponic.

I've been paying about 12 bucks a 4 pack for the series. I'm all over this 1.

I'm pretty stoked to see this thread. I enjoyed Wookie Jack big time. Not just the black DIPA part but this time of year screams black RYE DIPA which the original Wookie Jack was.

I've been getting/seeing 4-packs of this series in my neck of the woods, which is a fairly expensive neck of the woods, for $14 a 4 tops. I'm in.

As per their IG, it launched 12/16 at their brewery, with distribution slated in "upcoming weeks".

San Francisco hasn't gotten it in yet either.

My Costco has been getting the Leo vs. Ursus stuff for a while, but haven’t seen this one yet.

They're obviously waiting until it's a month old before distributing it so it will reach its peak level of freshness just like all the other hoppy FW beers

I believe the most recent Leo v. Ursus hit Colorado "freshly" at about 1.5-2 months out from canning. Seems like these releases have been hitting markets further and further from the packaging dates.

Another Firestone Walker pass for me, how very disappointing!

Why? (Unless you don't like Wookie Jack)

Just because they distro late doesn't mean that it's old beer. I remember the first LvU they had a different canning schedule/distro schedule for each State.

It's purely anecdotal, but I can say each and every one of these LvU releases is leaving behind a larger and larger stack of unsold 4 packs at the retailers I frequent. I wonder if they're having trouble moving this product at the retail level, and as such are starting to slow down at the production level.
