How'd they run out so quick? Up allotments?

I got in line just a little after 5 and got my case just a lil after 6...a faster release than I thought. I also think the weather/cold kept some folks away too.

Saw a few posts later in the night saying there were people walking out with cases.. im sure those people had mules with them though.

Honestly, this just makes me frustrated that they don't run 3 points of sale at all releases. I waited over an hour from that spot at the Are You OK? release. I would have gladly attended this release had I been able to count on them moving the line like this.

They'd probably find releases would sell out faster if they reliably got people through the outside line in a half hour or less, because more people would show up early instead of waiting. I can't imagine it's good for business to clog up the ferm with people buying cans when they move everything inside.

Yeah, it's pretty baffling that they only roll out a 3rd iPad for only (I believe) the shake releases. Hell, I was at OH last week when they dropped 1 can, and even then they had 3 iPads. It just makes everything go by so much quicker and makes the line shrink rapidly. Other than the possibility of more people going into the Ferm after purchasing, I can't think of any other reason why they wouldn't always rock 3 iPads.

I was going to jump in the car at 6:45 and drive down, but IG comments said there was only half a pallet left by then. I thought for sure with the cold and a 700 allotment number that it would be around at least until 8. Guess I was wrong, that line must have moved quickly.

Anyway, my daughter got there at 5:45 and got her allotment, so I'll get a 4 pack in return for my previous TH releases I got for her. Very cool having kids that are TH fans too! I'll be really interested to see how the Pineapple tastes, she said it was delicious.

PS: Had a 2X Vanilla over the weekend, just amazing. It continues to be my favorite shake I think.

Having my second glass of Oblivex now. This beer is way too easy drinking for >9%.

Really enjoying the pineapple. Interested to see how they age. Agree, Double Vanilla is the best I've had in my limited shake experience.

So 1 guy posts on FB that he has put down 6 chairs in line and is selling the spots for $20 each. Is this the kind of thing you do in PA? I am hoping it was just a troll job. But you never know in this new money beer game.

His post was swiftly banned I believe but it's a free country and there is really no enforcement.

If there's no line there's no hype. There was a piece on NPR not that long ago about line psychology that really got me thinking about these breweries. I do believe the line is somewhat manufactured to boost sales, not the other way around.

Yes. It's pretty easy to not have lines.
