Why is it that bombers cost so much? It seems I can get a six pack of the same thing for not much more than a bomber. Maybe twice the cost but for three times the beer volume.

After lunch (and a power nap) I went to Green Bench Brewing’s release of “Turbid 7”, NE Style IPA Triple Dry Hopped w/ Simcoe, Citra, and Mosaic, which I had on tap...I met several brewers from several local breweries, and had a grand time, and drank several styles of beer...home now drinking a canned “Turbid 7” of today:

Murky milky yellow gold w/thin white cap and white floaties. Grapefruit, lemon rind, somewhat dank nose and taste. Creamy semi full feel...I like well enough, but I’m thinking I need to get back to clear, clean, crisp West Coast Style IPAs to make my mind right...ya feel me?

I am starting to get the idea that you like beer. But I could be wrong.

Watching Knightfall. Was kind of in a surly mood going into work today & then this song came on the radio

It kind of summed up what work's all about, not all days are gonna be gems.

Victory 4 Front IPA, I like it better than the average BA for sure...

Always excellent, one of my go-to porter favorites. Grabbed a 6 pack today. Flavors of big milk chocolate, cocoa, caramel, toffee, coffee, toasted dark bread, and light nutty malts; with some light-moderate herbal/spicy hops. Light-moderate earthy hop and roast bitterness on the finish. Medium bodied; great bready/grainy creaminess in the mouthfeel; some light sticky/chalky notes from hop/roast. Lightly increasing dryness. Never acrid/astringent. Such a classic American porter all around. I love Munich malt in Porters, and this has a nice amount in the grain bill. Still have to redo the review on this sometime, and most other local favorites I keep buying. I feel much more impressed with a lot of them recently.

Amazing pale ale as always. 1 month old. Flavors of big grapefruit, tangerine, pineapple, apricot, mango, melon, lemon zest, orange peel, and pine hops; with moderate caramel, brown sugar, and toasted bread malts; and floral/grassy hop earthiness. Light-moderate pine, citrus peel, grassy bitterness on the finish. Medium carbonation/body. Balanced sticky hops and bready malt creaminess in the mouthfeel. Lightly resinous, increasing bitter dryness, no hop astringency. Very bright/juicy on hops and pretty dank. Balanced malts without being too sweet. Insanely easy drinking. A top favorite pale ale. Always grab this when I visit Ohio now, along with many others.

Delicious brown ale! Aromas and flavors of big caramel, brown sugar, toffee, sweet dough, and toasted brown bread; with lighter notes of vanilla, milk chocolate, cocoa, and nutty coffee. Very light herbal hop and roast bitterness on the finish. Medium carbonation/body; really nice bready creaminess in the mouthfeel. Minimal dryness, no cloying sweetness, very drinkable. Wish this had more coffee overall, but it has solid presence. You definitely get doughy/bready donut notes and a bit of vanilla frosting. Liked the base brown ale too, nice well rounded malt complexity. English style brown for sure. Will get again. Petoskey is pretty underrated. Need to revisit Juicy and Hopsessed again soon. Cosmati Mosaic DIPA is flat out amazing.

Still tasting amazing, 13 months old now. Flavors of huge cinnamon, mint, nutmeg, ginger, clove, vanilla, coffee, cream, and chili pepper spice; with balanced milk/dark chocolate, cocoa, fudge, caramel, brown sugar, and toasted dark bread malt sweetness. Light-moderate herbal spice and roasted bitterness; touch of char. Bittersweet balanced finish, with a fantastic creamy/silky/velvety full body mouthfeel. Some light sticky/chalky notes and dryness from the spices and roast malts. Very smooth, minimal warmth of alcohol and pepper heat. Super rich and decadent. Perfect balance of spices and stout flavors. One of my favorite spiced stouts along with regular Bomb. Newer batch is a bit more thicker/richer from the 2% higher ABV, but equally as impressive as the previous years. Still plenty of both around still.

Congrats on the new job! That is a VERY important position you will be doing. Good luck and as someone who has been doing the big boy jobs for 28 years, you just have to pick your time for good beer. Plan it in and you'll do fine. Cheers!

We broke into a few good ones tonight. Started off with Las Vegas Craft Lager, purchased in May 2016 at the Paris Las Vegas and misplaced until this week..

Followed it up with Fred, which was, sorry to say, a bit of a disappointment. I have heard such good things about it but it just didn't do it for me.

Finished with Wizard Burial Ground, which was quite nice. Not a lot of influence from the barrel aging, maybe it was too malty. Stouts have more barrel aging flavors than quads IMHO.
