Burden of Gratitude is an excellent beer. So glad I grabbed some last night with a less than 5 minute wait!

It's going to be a beer and probably more than $5 each.

I hope it's not a moon rock beer. Strange and Beautiful beers for off-centered people??

I'll be in Philadelphia this weekend. Planning to hit Tired Hands, Forest & Main, and Monk's Cafe. Is there anywhere else I absolutely must visit?

Also, does Tired Hands fill crowlers or only growlers? And what are the odds that cans of HopHands will still be around when they open on Saturday? One last thing... can I get a recommendation for a lunch spot in Ardmore?

    Thanks for the help, everyone.

Love all three spots you listed. Keep in mind Tired Hands is actually two different spots. The Ferm and the Cafe are about 3 blocks away from each and have different tap lists. Make sure you leave time for both. If you are downtown and you can swing it I would recommend Crime and Punishment and Second District, but they wouldn't bump any of the others ones you listed.

98% chance Hop Hands is there. I think they have run out twice since July, so odds are good. Looking like there may be a can or bottle release on Sunday as well. No crowlers at Tired Hands, fill as many growlers as you wish, might have to leave and go to your car and come back but they fill as many as you like. The Tired Hands general store has an excellent selection of bottles too, the list is on their site. I think F&M has some bottles to go as well, and they may do crowlers Saturday morning. Check their instagram. I would eat lunch at Tired Hands honestly. Either spot. Also food at Monks and F&M is excellent as well. Enjoy, cheers.

Didn't Carton do a very similar beer? Cosmopolitan or something?

Cosmonaut. It was a neapolitan stout- chocolate, strawberry, vanilla I think.

Note that Tired Hands only fills their own branded growlers.

It's not a PA law, it's their own rule.

And if you bring another branded growler, they will swap it out for free.

You don't think they are just going to start selling ice cream sandwiches at the GS? I mean I assume it is also a beer but I love how at this point they could post a picture of anything and we will assume it will be a beer. Here's a picture of a dolphin jumping over a moon! Wet hopped exclusively with Galaxy "low gravity" session ipa lol.

You must visit Monk's in the early afternoon if you want to be able to enjoy a relaxed drinking experience. Weekend nights there are packed and uncomfortable, only recommended if you're already half in the bag and unlikely to care much about a crowd.

You can eat lunch at either of Tired Hands' locations on the weekends. The Brew Cafe has panini, salads, and charcuterie, while Fermentaria serves tacos and some other sandwiches, as well as heartier dinner-type entrees. Their saisons pair wonderfully with their food.

There are lots of other restaurants around. If you want to grab an authentic Philly sandwich, head to the DiBruno Bros. in the Ardmore Farmer's Market for a Roast Pork sandwich. They make a good one.
