Breweries Opening/Closing in Minnesota 2018

I totally missed that part of the article. I didn't realize they were thinking from the beginning that it would be awhile. Not too crazy they haven't started on the building I guess.

I just remember they hinted on there marque that something was happening about a 1 or so ago. Was hoping that it was sooner rather than later.

 

Buyer of the brewery or just someone who will buy a beer from them?

 

With the tremendous upside to Maple Island (excellent location, beautiful building, parking, looks like a good brewhouse to an amateur like me) a buyer should not be hard to find. All it needs is a good brewer and a taproom manager and then watch the money roll in.

 

It also has a U-Haul key return in the taproom!

 

One would think

No kidding. Even if the equipment isn't so good, if you bought the place today, you could be brewing tomorrow. The location is fucking awesome.

 

Maybe Lift Bridge should look at revising their strategy a bit. Move the taproom brewery and license to the Maple Island location and then go the Fulton route by doing everything else at another bigger location. At least then you could see the namesake landmark from the taproom. Just think of the blowouts they could throw if they could temporarily close of the parking lot between the building and the river for a release party, not to mention the boost to the other businesses nearby.

I did a couple of times. It wasn't great.

 

Rumor has it, they are paying something like $25 a square foot to lease their space.

 

Rumor has it Frank wants $2 million dollars for everything including the building. It really is a great location!

 

If all goes according to plan Lift Bridge's new brewery will be mighty interesting in the next two to four months.
