Short's Brewing Releases & Updates (2018)

Just picked some up in northeast Ohio today. $10.99/six here as well. Wasn't expecting it this soon so will finally get to try it fresh.

 

Woodmaster was on point! Was saving the sixer for a friends gregorian calendar Christmas and he was quite pleased. Only could finish one myself, but what a quality beer for the price. Also looking forward to aging my last bottle.

Now on to the weird. WTH is up with superfluid? Had it on tap yesterday and didn't taste right, almost reminded me of wet cardboard for lack of a better description. Almost think it was the wrong pour, as I've never had an IPA taste like this. Yet to grab a sixer but hoping it will live up to one of my favorites from shorts.

Doing a little shopping at my Meijer tonight and grabbed some more Superfluid for the same price! - this is pretty much the going rate for about 50% of the six packs that are on our stores shelves all year long- a treat indeed!!!!

 

A few weeks ago I cleaning out my "cellar," a small closet in the basement where I keep my brewing supplies and some cellar-friendly brews that don't fit in the fridge. Lo and behold, there, towards the back, was a rogue bottle of S'more Stout.

Don't wanna steal anyone's thunder, but just picked up some Machu Beechu at Meijer.

It's good, but for my personal tastes I wish I'd just keep in mind fruited ipa's just aren't my thing...passion fruit in particular seems to have a signature twang I'm not so sure about.

I really enjoyed Manchu beechu at the anniversary party last year. I got a lot of tropical fruit, mango and passion fruit mostly balanced well with the sweetness of the honey and I usually do not like honey in my Iowa's. I was also a few deep by the time i got to this one but remember enjoying it and look forward to getting a sixer of it
