Just moved up here and looking for some like minded people to share good beer with and hopefully make some new friends. I'm from kankakee area (about 80 miles southeast) and do not know anyone around here. It would be great finding a few people who I could share my love of beer with. I am also s homebrewer but will not be brewing until I move again due to lack of space.

Me and my two buddies brew at one of their homes in Oswego. We always welcome people coming to hang out and open a few beers on brew-days.

I'm in Oswego 5 mins from Aurora. I'm always down to get together and drink. I kinda have this addiction to drinking good beers. Definitely in for a tasting out here whether its at someone's house or a local establishment. Where in Aurora are you at?

Just a side thought but if you're near downtown you should check out the Roundhouse and in Batavia you should visit the Gammon Coach House and Wilson Street Tavern. All good places for some beer/food that are close.

This thread is why I suggested a way to look up BAs near by, but they dismissed right off. And another thing that grinds my gears. Why do people not put where they are from on their profile?

I live in Aurora, and am a BA but not too active on the site. I don't know how new you are to the area so you may already know most of this. Like a couple people mentioned Two Brothers Roundhouse downtown Aurora (used to be Walter Paytons) is a great place to start. They have all the Two Brothers beer, and some good one offs, right now they have several different versions of their Heavy Handed IPA all brewed with different hop varieties, always a good place to eat and drink. Aurora is a big town so I'm not sure what part you live in. If you live on the west side check out Woodman's in North Aurora if you haven't already. This is my go to spot for anything that isn't really rare. They won't have quite the variety of Binny's but still a really good selection of craft beer. Everything is $1-2 cheaper then it is at Binny's. Last week they had 4 packs of Founders Breakfast Stout for $9.99. This is right off of I-88 Orchard exit, they have almost everything but not quite and for great prices. There is a home brew shop right in downtown Aurora, I don't home brew but my friends who do love it. Ballydoyle downtown Aurora has a descent selection of craft on tap. Nearby in Oswego the Tap House Grill has an excellent selection. . This has nothing to do with Beer, they have no craft but if you want Pizza you absolutley have to try Ach-N-Lou's on Farnsworth it's thin crust at it's very best. If you want to drink swill and see some weird characters go to Stoney's, you will find no craft beer whatsoever if you want food they might make you a frozen pizza. Do you golf? Bring your own beer golf course called Wolf Run in Aurora on the Westside on Jericho - about $25-$30 bucks with a cart you can take whatever craft you want out there and have a good old time. I'm really rambling now but I'm telling you what I would want to know if I just moved to the area. Let me know what part you live in and I can give you some more info, and I'm down to meet up for a beverage.
