Bruery 2018 RS/HS Allocations

Got a crowler about a month ago and ended up opening it two weeks later. It didn’t do well. No walnuts, strong booze flavor. I still finished it of course.

Opened my White Winter Warmer crowler (a week later) tonight. Tasted great.

Maybe related to how crowlers are filled? In any case, hope it holds up. It’s a pretty tasty beer.

 

As a NJ based and newly minted hoarder, happy to see special taps on for today as I'm flying to SD for my allocations and other beer finds.

I wonder how the crowler credit will work.

 

The kickoff event was awesome as usual. Even when I did stand in line it took less than 4 minutes to get my pour and that was pretty much the PB Thursday/PB Jelly Thursday line only. Every other line was less than 1 minute or nothing at all.

On tuesdays we brunch....I had a feeling there would be maple syrup and cinnamon, I can only hope its minimal. Those 2 flavors aren't my favorite especially together.

 

Brunch was on tap? I left early bc I didn't want to get too hammered on all the same shit I've had already so I went to the tasting room instead.. Mmmmm dat pistachio Vanilla bt

 

No, it was not on tap. Someone here had posted the link to mybeerbuzz website that has the image of the beer with description. Sort of wish I left early because I got pretty wasted.

 

And what's up with 2014 Smooth Criminal? Maybe it's coming back and they need to update the date? Or maybe this is just red tape to let them distribute their remaining stock somewhere?

I'm kind of sad that you didn't use this to get a little upset that they won't make it available for CA members in the tasting room/vintage fridge at the fulfillment center... I come here for outrage, not good will.

Ha ha! I know you're mostly joking, but I stocked up at the last vintage sale AND got another for good measure at the TR last month. @ivegot3Dvision is right... In fact it is cheaper there than at Anniversary sale. They must have too much, thus why preparing for DC sale. If it gets the White Oak discount though then shit might get real...

Does anyone know why the initial Hoarders package had Melange 3 (2017) and Humulus Terreux with Mosaic (2016)? I couldn't find any emails or posts about this. I'm hopeful that they simply threw these in because they weren't selling too hot and not already replacing promised beers with these two.

 

This has come up quite a few times in this thread. These are "bonus beers". They were mentioned in all of the announcements about the societies (such as https://www.thebruerystore.com/membership/hoarders-society-2018), and did not replace anything. Cheers!

 

In addition I believe there was communication that if you hit a certain amount of purchases you will be awarded with additional archive beers as a bonus. If I’m wrong hopefully someone will correct me.

 

I remember seeing that. I would love to know what these threshold amounts are.

 

And which beers might be available when you hit them

 

I'd be ok with that. I bought a good amount of White Oak, and I'd gladly buy a bunch of Smooth Criminal.
