Is there a way online to see what's on tap and to go at the new Santa Cruz portal? The Instagram seems to only show the Capitola lists.

Veggie sando was solid, as was the pretzel. Burger King across the way or Charlie Hong Kong down the street.

Food looks good. Tacos Moreno and Taqueria Santa Cruz are quarter mile away and delicious if seeking other options.

Santa Cruz is bigger, has more space for patrons, and is newer. They also have food in-house, in-house bottles from other breweries and a larger taplist.

That being said... when I went they didn't have one of the beers that the Capitola location had (which is the one I wanted to try), because I think that's where they release things first. I also personally like the feeling of the Capitola location better. It's more homey and less industrial.

Animals are also allowed inside the Capitola location. In Santa Cruz they must remain on the outside patio. I too prefer capitola because I enjoy having a dog hanging around and, on very rare occasion, someone's pet pig.

Funny, I guess the thread is overwhelmingly saying: Capitola

Despite me starting that sentiment off, I would have to reiterate that the Santa Cruz location has more beer on tap. Right now they have 14 vs. the 10 at Capitola. Sometimes I've visited Capitola, and they've only have 7 things on tap. So depending on what you're looking for, you may have to go by both. They're only like 10 minutes away from each other anyway.

Capitola's draft list, togo list, and growler fill list is put out on IG daily. So you can always use that to determine which location to visit. Santa Cruz does not get that treatment as of yet.

I guess you didn't try Bartlett the last year when @ElijahSF has been evangelizing them at every opportunity?

In the 2017 Los Angeles International Beer Competition, Barlett picked up:

(Gold) Barley Wine Style Ale: Mash Town Road Barleywine (Barlett Brewing)
(Gold) Dortmunder or German Style Oktoberfest: The Wurm Dortmund Export Lager (Bartlett Brewing)
(Gold) Wood and Barrel Aged Strong Stout: Barrel Aged Imperial Dark Bullitt (Barlett Brewing)

Disappointed he went there as I have no car and never go to their brewery and the only spot I see their beers in SF is Toronado and it's not very often. Maybe they'll start sending more beer to SF.

holy shit! sounds like the exact missing pieces from SARAs arsenal. maybe they will give him a chance to brew and bottle some clean beers?

I've gotten fills with my Cellarmaker growler, but they are covered up with painter's tape anyway.
