Final counts for tomorrow's release. I would expect it to last most of the day and probably carry through at least Sat but turn out will be interesting with it being the last work day before the holiday. Many locals that usually cannot make their releases early due to work may be off or at the very least getting off earlier than normal for a Friday.

Interstellar Burst DIPA 8% - Galaxy, Citra and El Dorado. Big passionfruit, pineapple, grapefruit, nectarine and mango aromatics that carry over into the entire flavor profile. This beer is very soft, fluffy and no bitterness is present which compliments the tropical fruit.

DDH Falcon Smash IPA 7% - Our every so lovable dank flagship IPA with a heavy dosing of multiple dry hops. Notes of fresh squeezed oranges and grapefruit with resin and pine to compliment.
243 cases are available at $15.00 per 4 pack (1 case limit)

 

There is a Veil-size line (60-70) here right now, I was pretty shocked to see it when I rolled up. There's no need to rush over, but I don't think this release will last as long as they normally do.

 

I was surprised when I showed up around 1:30 and the parking lot was packed. Line was down the patio just to the top of the steps leading to the parking lot. Figured I would miss the lunchtime wave. 2 POS running the can line but moved quick though. Probably took 20 mins to get cans after I arrived. Did not grab draft but that was a lengthy line too.

 

Yeah I figured I would wait out the rush and have a few beers, but after the first beer the draft line was so long I said damn I might as well just get in the can line. It did move pretty quick though, only took about 20-30 minutes to get through. Both of today's releases are really good.

 

Interstellar sold out per a post in a local group.

- Illuminati Confirmed 8% DIPA : This beer is a bright tropical cyclone featuring two of our favorite hop varietals Citra and Mosaic. Pillowy mouth feel backs up the pungent aromatics.
We are shooting for 250 cases at $17 per 4 pack (1 case limit)

- Citra Triangles 6% IPA : Soft, dank, yet tropical notes of guava, pungent peaches, oranges and nectarines.
We are shooting for 125 cases of this all Citra IPA at $14.50 a 4 pack (1 case limit)

- Poor Icarus 8% DIPA : Packed with notes of pineapple creamsicle juice. We aggressively hopped this with Vic Secret, El Dorado and Azacca.

Hey guys, hoping to hit triple crossing for the first time Friday but cannot make it until 4 PM or so. Do these can releases typically sell out instantly or will they likely last the day? I am sure every release is different but was curious if i have a shot! Thanks!

 

You should be fine, they typically stick around for a while.

 

Agree with @beernuts . Arriving at 4 should not be a problem at all to get everything you want. The weather will probably also keep people from going down since RVA is in the 1"-4" band for snow today through tomorrow.

 

It sounds like all 3 cans made it to Sunday, not much Triangles though. Icarus and Illuminati could make it into midweek if they lasted through today.

 

Proximity Project: Pink Guava Sliced. It will be on sale at both breweries on Friday, 1/12 at noon for $14.50 a bottle (4 bottle limit). 1,000 bottles total. There will also be draft pours available.

Pink Guava Sliced is the second vintage of our wild ale series and this time re-fermented on pink guava. This golden sour was inoculated with a mixed culture of brewer’s yeast and native wild microflora from our brewery grounds in Fulton. We aged this golden sour on oak then re-fermented it on top of pink guava in stainless. The beer and the wood it lives within, their simplicity and complexity, is at the core of the Proximity Project.

I couldn't be happier they are rolling with canning it still. It was the saddest I've been about beer news in a long time when they said they wouldn't anymore.

Waxing Poetic w/ Blackberry, Blueberry, Boysenberry and Raspberry 4% Berliner packed with all of the berries. We aggressively fruited this batch with Blackberry, Blueberry, Boysenberry and Raspberry.
We are shooting for 180 cases at $17.50 per 4 pack (5x 4-pack limit)

Clever Girl 6% IPA contains all of the wonderful tropical notes of Mosaic while being extremely soft and crushable.
We are shooting for 120 cases at $14 per 4 pack (1 case limit)

 

I got there at 1:30 today, no line. I imagine this will last into the weekend.

 

This batch of Clever Girl is on point, mayber their best one so far.

I really love that CG and Falcon Smash are available in cans every 4-6 weeks its so so beautiful. Especially when the batches are as on as they have been lately.
