Super bowl weekend? Count me out. I have over 100 ppl at my house for the polar bear swim then food/drinks afterward.

WTF are people complaining about? It’s like OH is just trying to inconvenience you personally by doing mobile can sales? I think it’s great that they are doing this. This place has been buying kegs from them since early on and they are rewarding them in this way. OH hates their customers but apparently they like their keg accounts....

 

I don't see anybody complaining. All I see is mild curiosity and jokes.

 

I can confirm it will be the 3rd. I'm having my birthday at Other Half the 27th and can say no anniversary. It is the same weekend as EBF, confirmed by multiple people at the brewery. I'll be sad to miss it actually because I'll be at EBF. Unless something changed in the past week (which I doubt), that is the weekend.

 

Quick availability update: I was there last night and they still had bottles of the Berliner Weiss, Candy for Strangers, one other bottle, oh...forever and WC IPA left. Awesome to be able to drop in mid-week and stock up.

 

Nice, the one weekend I'm out of the city in a very long time.

 

I wasn't in NYC last year for the Anni release, anyone remember what the limits were like? Did it sell out super fast? My birthday is the 7th so it'd be cool to have some OH in the fridge.

 

Cant recall the limits but I went on Sunday and picked some up, so it didn't sell out all that fast.

 

It was 1 case pp IIRC, I believe it lasted until Sunday?

 

If I remember correctly, it was a 2 can realease of Nummy Nug Nug (bring it back!) and the 3rd anniversary. Nummy Nug Nug sold out fast but 3rd Anniversary lasted until at least Sunday as it was a triple batch I believe.

In my opinion, it would be really cool if they just did a 1 can release and did a quadruple batch since its the 4th anniversary. I like the idea that the anniversary beer should be available to a lot of people since so many people have supported them over the first few years.

Just confirmed on Instagram that it was a case limit last year.

Wow, was definitely not expecting a one case limit. IIRC when I finally got to the garage for the 2nd Anni release they had dropped the limits to 2-4pks pp. A one can release quad batch would be pretty awesome, I guess we'll see. Was there any crazy merch last year? I'm sure they'll have something this year I just hope there's not like 10 different things.

I heard the 4th Anni release was a mobile can sale only in NJ.

 

Hope you guys got that overpriced bottle opener a few months back, as you'll need it to unlock the custom-painted DDH All Sprinter Everything vans filled with cases of beer and merch roaming the mean Jersey streets.

any nyc/brooklyn people want to organize a caravan and line up like 4 hours before the release and buy them all out?

would love to see 4 4 packs for ddhdmd/mylar rather than dream power.

 

So Oh Forever was clearly a double batch given how long it's lasted. Would be great if they could be transparent as to stuff like that, but I know that's asking for too much.
