just thought I'd relay a recent experience with 20 West...
they shipped fast. really fast. Unfortunately there was zero notice that they had shipped. Basically I found out they had shipped when I got home and found the FedEx slip on the door telling me they had tried/failed to deliver.
Two days later I get a shipping notice from them. Cute.
The 4 beers I ordered were reasonably fresh, old, very old, and ridiculously old. However I assume if one is buying 3F from 20 West freshness is unlikely to be a problem.
Finally, for one of the beers they scratched out "6" on the invoice, wrote in "5", and shipped me 5. Not a single word of explanation, discount, refund, or how they'd make it up to me.

they haven't responded to any of my efforts to contact them.
anyway, just thought you guys deserved to know.

    cheers--

I ordered from them. Mostly FFF. They called me and left a message and said they were going to ship, but they ran out of something. I called them back and they said they found it and I received the notice that they shipped that evening via email.

Since it's mostly FFF, I'm hoping it's all fresh, but spthey don't have dates, so I guess I won't know either way.

Yeah, I had a similar problem in that they didn't give me everything I ordered and still charged me for it. However, when I contacted them they were quick to fix. I'm sure someone will get back to you soon. Is a bit frustrating, but there aren't many alternatives.

Unless recent is for at least two years then i guess they recently started shipping, because thats when I placed my first order from them...

    I've used:
bottletrek (pricy shipping, but OREGON beers!)
    Leuken
    Bruisin' Ales
    Let's Pour
    White Horse Wines and Spirits
West Lakeview Liquors (been a while ago like the previous post said)
    France44
Hi-time wine (I'm not sure they do much beer anymore)
Partysource.com -website is screwed up the last little bit. Basically I use seekabrew to find out which breweries are available in state and do a search for them. I love some New Albanian and they are the only ones to ship them that I know of.

Does Halftime's freeship offer still work? I tried placing an order just now and it didn't work for me =(

I just submitted my order and it appears to have worked, but I had the code typed in for nearly a week now, adding and removing bottles. Not sure if that's why.

    Thanks Guys!

I actually didn't have enough # of bottles to qualify. I added a few more bottles and was good to go.

    I got the following:

    2 x 4-pack BCBS
1 x Drie Fonteinen Golden Blend (expensive I know!!)
    5 x Peche Mortel
    2 x Brooklyn BCS
1 x Ithaca Flower Power IPA
    1 x Founders Reds Rye

Free shipping makes it cheaper than trading for these

Any reliable place that carries and ships Pliny and Surly to NY? Or is it a crap shoot regarding in stock availability?

thejugshop.com will ship Pliny but only 2 bottles at a time and I think they're out now. France44 sounds like the place for Surly, but I've never ordered from there.

Pretty sure no one ships to PA based on our insane laws. Where in PA are you? I get Lagunitas all year long , even the specials.

    Enjoy

Although I assume there's a small degree of risk in doing so, several PAers in this thread said they've ordered from Halftime no problem. I just placed an order yesterday and it says it's been shipped.

I live in MA and a lot of these sites say they won't ship to MA because of our laws, now maybe from your guy's past experiences you may have a solution for me. If I ship it to my Aunt in NY, does it have to be me signing for it or if I pay for it and have her name on the shipping address should that be ok? I want to order some stuff and have my parents pick it up on their xmas trip but dont want to be out the money if it can't be done. thoughts??

All the shipping CO wants is someone 21 and older to sign for it.

How long did it take? I placed my order yesterday morning and the website says it's already shipped, which I find a little hard to believe. I'm in the Mon Valley.
