Hoof Hearted Brewing (2018)

At the same time, events like Winter Warmer would have little to no benefit to Hoof when they're selling direct to consumer and can't meet demand as it stands.

SoE was phenomenal.

 

I was disappointed....that was my previous Hoof favorite...seemed malty from previous batches. I guess with Hoof when I say sub par, its a relative term because I still always really like the beers.

 

It's always been one of their maltier beers, this batch didn't seem out of line to me.

 

I could be wrong but last batch was straight juice imo....of course tastes change a bit. And I surely didn't pour it out! sometimes perception hypes a beer in the mind too, if that makes sense.

 

64 tickets still remaining as of 12:05PM? Shows which beers are the most sought after.

 

The funny thing is Dork was probably the best double (non-fruited) they put out last year.

 

Agree. I thought it was one of their better beers. 61 tickets still available.

 

Might Masthead be stepping on some Hoof toes as far as budget or release time concerned?

 

No. I think Hoof is stepping on Hoof toes. Was a pretty expensive weekend with lots of Teku's, and a very sought after Key Bump.

 

That being said, I still want some more Masthead. lol

 

I will definitely be at Masthead this Saturday. They are crushing it...equal love for my Hoof too though.

 

I’ll be at both Masthead and the Hoof releases this weekend. Mastheads has been doing great things lately, but at nearly $20 a 4-pack. It’s gonna be an expensive weekend.

 

Unless they realize they're crazy for pricing their singles so high, I'd expect the double to be 19.99 and the triple to be 20.99 per 4pk... which... is crazy. And seriously the stuff has been really good, but it's not dialed in yet, except for tubes, so it baffles me that people are buying cases on cases without even tasting a can.

 

Could also be that Wolfs Ridge is having a release / anniversary on party Saturday as well. Lots of beer things to be had.

 

lot of folks choosing Masthead over Hoof this weekend, but back to back releases for sure has an impact. that said it still sold out.

Masthead you can at least try the beer on draft before deciding to buy. which actually was bad for me because I wound up dropping for a whole case of tubes and vice. would not have done that without trying.

 

We'll see how long that lasts. Tomorrow will be very telling.

 

true...if you get a seat at the bar you should be fine. but the way you order food and drafts in same line as cans will slow things way down if there is any sort of crowd.

 

Is a crowd expected? I made it up there for the Tube cans but it wasn't until later in the evening

 

I think there will be 50 or so people at/before open that will stand in a long line to get all the cases and tekus they can. Aside from that, I think everything will be busy, but still fine to get cans until at least 2-3pm. That's just my thought though.

I'll be showing up around 11:45, hopefully after the initial push gets through. Get my drafts, food, cans and hang out for a while.
