    Boo.

Yea, I remember reading through the start of the Deviate thread (or maybe this thread) and seeing you say "I'll be the guy at the bar with a couple boxes and a red hat" - or something to that effect. it was frequent as I recall .

I feel the same way, particularly since the entries I have had have been real hit or miss. Sticky Bubblegum was just plain bad.

    That's an aweful name.

You know what else is bad? Virtually every Hoof Hearted name. I'm sorry, I just don't want to drink something called "Mom Jeans."

FFS. I know there's only so many names out there, but I just hate some of the names places come up with.I'd almost rather something silly like:

    Fizzy
    Dizzy
    Tizzy
    Fipizzy
    Dipfizzy

The name “Mom Jeans” is almost as bad as seeing somebody wearing them.

Sorry. I will try to stay to topic. Lol.

450 N is going up against 2 bars tapping Hopslam in Columbus tomorrow. Sorry 450 N, you're going to lose.

Honestly, their NE IPAs are generally very good... but they're not THAT good, and they're practically in my backyard.

Yeah but Konkey Dong and that label... priceless.

Also my kids still laugh about the name Hoof Hearted.

What's the best price everyone is seeing for Hopslam around Indy? $16.99 is what I'm seeing through Big Red. I think that's better then the $18-$20 I paid last year. Curious if Kroger or Meijer will carry it at a better price.

$7 pints on draft down in Columbus. I heard $6 pours at Kuma's. No cans down this way yet.

My understanding, and a lot of what is happening is bogged down in political BS, is that Cold Beer legislation is essentially dead.

Give me Sunday sales over cold any day. It's pretty ridiculous that we can't get both, quite frankly.

I can understand the logic behind the prohibition of Sunday sales being from a bygone era, but the cold thing really doesn’t make any sense.

I actually once heard liquor stores don't want Sunday sales because it will increase their overhead (labor cost, etc.) but won't actually increase sales because people are used to buying prior to Sunday so they'll still have the same sales, just spread over 7 days instead of 6. I believe that was the argument I heard.

They could always just stay closed on Sunday. It should be their choice, not based on an arcane law.

Hey Joe, thanks for the enthusiasm, and we're excited to be in Illinois.

I guess first off, I should ask if you're seeing Osiris cold or warm. Osiris is not a beer meant to sit on a warm shelf, so if you're seeing it warm, we'd like to know where and correct the problem.

We've done a ton of sensory work on all our beers, and making sure they meet our taste targets is something we consider to be vital to who we are and what we do.

In any case, freshness is often relative depending on who is doing the drinking, and some product is going to find itself on shelfs toward the end of its life cycle (which, in the case of Osiris, is 90 days).

Illinois is a new challenge for us, and one we're still working the kinks out on. I can assure you that the beer sent to illinois is within a week of packaging when it leaves our building. With a little history with our distributors and a better understanding of demand, we'll do a better job of making sure that that beer is turning fast enough to keep shelftime to a minimum. Please stick with us. We definitely appreciate the support.

If you've got some time, there's a big article about our lab and sensory, our new IPA, and how all the lab work applies to all our beer this-a-way.... http://www.sunkingbrewing.com/skb-ipa.html

Hi Bob. We're glad to know that people still think of us.

When we made the move to Chicago, we weren't looking to take over the world - we just thought our beer had a place there. There are plenty of Indiana transplants in Chicago, and more than a few of them asked if we'd ever have beer out of state. And now we do. So far, we're doing pretty much what we expected in Chicago.

One of the problems we've run into with the Small Batch stuff is that our little brewhouse barely keeps up with what we need to keep our tasting rooms supplied. We hope to remedy that with our new Fishers brewery.

We're also looking into ways to package some of our smaller runs of more popular beers - stuff like the Cream Dream DIPAs that sell out pretty quickly - in addition to launching a new year-round IPA and a new Session IPA in March.

While we are focused on the distillery, the day-to-day stuff at the brewery hasn't changed for most of us. The distillery is a whole different animal.

Thanks for drinking the beers of ours that you currently enjoy. We're doing our best to keep them coming.

Canned Cream Dream would be awesome. I have not had it in years, but love it.

@mikeat Thanks for the reply! My friends send me your stuff pretty regularly, and your glassware often shows up in my Untappd check-ins! More of the small batch in cans would be fantastic! Cheers!
