The Green in Your Area's label looks really cool, seems like a solid release on the whole. Glad that 4th Anni is next weekend cause I'd have to miss it and I need cans to drink side by side with the cans of 3rd Anni I still have.

So I decided to pass on getting there at 8-8:30 and didn't up getting to the warehouse until 12:15-12:30 with no line. The chalkboard said sold out of Double Mosaic and Mylar Bags so was kind of disappointed but no surprised but when I actually got to the table they had Mylar sitting there on the table. Ended up with 2 4packs of Mylar and Dream Power (passed on Magic Green Nugs). Then went to the taproom and had about 8 tasters. Really enjoyed all of them. I was surprised the stouts are not rated higher as I thought all of them were pretty awesome. I wonder if that's just because people go there looking for the juice and when they get a stout it isn't what they were going for?

I was next to the bro's drinking straight from the growlers and opening cans of West Coast IPA instead of paying for pours. The best part was how pissed they got when one of the workers grabbed the growler from his mouth like that's normal to be doing

I think lower ABV stouts they release are great, especially Oil Slicks and the Short, Dark series, and the ratings generally reflect that- Short Dark and Wired is, I think, comparable to Founder's Breakfast Stout, and both are rated exactly the same (4.17) on Untappd.

The barrel aged beers though never meet my expectations, and often only barely, if at all, justify the price premium. I feel like they all have this strange off flavor, it's the same flavor in all of them (or smell?) that isn't quite hop or adjunct or oak, and while not offensive, I can't help but taste it and think it doesn't belong and probably isn't intentional.

Ok I’m confused is the 4th anniversary this weekend or next weekend (feb 2nd)??
And what does the anniversary entail?

seems like it'll be 2/3, and it doesn't entail much more than additional attendance because the fact that it is an anniversary. at least in years past that has been the case.

There is a beer/can released specifically in honor of their anniversary. Usually 1 or 2 other cans are released with it. The release is done at their normal time (10AM on Saturday on morning.)

There is also typically an anniversary party held in the taproom at night (last year it was not on the same day as the can release.) It has also been invite only and mostly consists of friends and family of the employees.

Just found out I’ll be driving thru Sunday the 3rd.
Any chance some cans will be left over or think the crowd will clear them out?

They brewed an XL batch of the anniversary beer last year that lasted through Sunday, so I think the odds are favorable.

Definitely depends on batch size and limits. OH has gotten significantly more popular in the past year.

Did they have 3rd Anniversary on tap at the brewery for a bit after the can release?

I believe they did, yes. I'm sure they will again this year.

I think it was 4oz pours only, which is weird since kegs were not distrod and they brewed a crap ton of it.

Could I order 16x4oz pours, dump them into my growler and drink straight from that if I wanted?

They actually put it on for pours on Friday a day before the can release.

Not sure how big distro was, but some kegs definitely went out. I had it on tap at the Gingerman.

It would be hysterical if their 4th anniversary beer was a dunkel weiss.

Tried green city for the first time this afternoon. I thought it was outstanding..if they get this recipe dialed in where every batch tastes like this one and its available all over, all the time that will be pretty sweet.
