    1) They have an elote quesadilla that is quite good and has gotten a Modem Tones style enthusiastic following among those of us on BA. As much as I enjoy it, I think my favorite dish there is still the fried chicken sandwich.

    2) They fill both 32oz crowlers and 64oz growlers. I'm sure if you had a 32oz glass growler with you, they would fill that as well since they used to sell them; not sure if they still do since they got the crowlers.

My favorite dish is the crispy brussel sprouts + egg & bacon.

Oh dang, their new sour is available for crowler fills. Wasn’t planning on heading there this weekend since I was there earlier this week but I might have to reconsider.

Anyone who’s tried Swimmingly, how is it?

It's almost as if...when you don't just brew the same thing over and over again but slap a different sticker on it...the rest of us can actually obtain some!

I thought it was incredible, well balanced as usual, some peach and florals, and a little funk.

If I had room in my ice chest I would have grabbed a crowler for my little gambling junket.

Losing Control might honestly be my favorite hazy HPB has made. Can’t stop drinking it, onto my fourth crowler now.

I for one think it's classy as hell they're giving Beer Friends first shot at Bottle Friends.

    Easiest no-brainer ever. Thanks, HPB!

    Per the email:

Bottle Friends Membership will go on sale for current Beer Friends starting 12:00pm noon on Wednesday (Today), January 24th, 2018 and end at 11:00am on Friday, January 26th.

    We’re launching a membership!

Thank you to all the members of our unofficial/official Beer Friends membership, we have one last presale for you before we close the doors on Beer Friends and begin the next chapter, Bottle Friends.

Bottle Friends is a culmination of over a year of thought, hammering out details, and wanting to best meet the needs and desires of our most loyal and dedicated customers and friends.

As we put the finishing touches on our Chinatown Brewery location, we are eager to finally unveil the details of Bottle Friends.

We will be releasing 10 included beers to members throughout 2018, 5 of them are guaranteed to be exclusive to members only. The first of the members only included beers, coming shortly, will be Science Sucks Apricots.

Science Sucks Apricots - Lambic Inspired Ale with Apricots - Our inspiration for this beer comes from a place of embracing the world of the unknown. Science Sucks Apricots is a single barrel dive into lambic cultures. This beer was fermented solely from the dregs of Drie Fonteinen and Girardin Gueze bottles. Our brewer Grant was inspired by these beers and sought to explore a beer with those specific yeast and bacteria. We used a very simple base of Weyermann Pils , Rahr unmalted wheat, and aged Hallertau Mittlefruh hops. We then aged that beer for 10 months in French oak puncheon barrels. We felt this base beer was a perfect platform for apricots. We used See Canyon apricots that were dry farmed by Mike Cirone on the Central Coast of California. This single barrel produced around 110 gallons of Science Sucks with 250 pounds of fruit added to that barrel. We hope you enjoy! 5.4% abv.

We’re looking forward to a great year ahead of us and are excited to share our new space and new beers with all of you. Thank you for your continued support.

    FAQ:

    What Beers are included?

Membership will include 10 bottles of beer. We will announce which beers are available as they are ready. At least 5 of the bottles will be exclusive to members while the others will also be available to non-members. Our intent is for some of the included beers to be available just for club members, but if we have an excess after the sales period we may offer bottle pours at special events or to the public for on-site consumption in the HPB Chinatown Tasting Room or at the Hermosillo.

When will I receive my included beers?

Included beers will be available at various times during the year. We try to schedule and communicate when we expect to release beers, but sometimes the beer lets us know when it's ready.

When can I pick up my beer?

Orders can be picked up during open tasting room hours in the allotted pickup window.

Can I pick up my beers at The Hermosillo?

Unfortunately no, all beers must be picked up at our Chinatown Brewery located at 1220 N. Spring St. Los Angeles, CA, 90012.

Can someone else pick up my beers for me?

Members may designate a Trustee to pick-up their beers. An ID proving that the person accepting the order is 21+ years of age will be required and must match the name of the trustee on file.

What happens if I miss a pickup window?

Due to limited space the pickup window must be adhered to, if you or your trustee are not able to pick up during the allotted window your bottles will be forfeited back to the brewery and will not be refunded.

Can I have my beer shipped to me?

Bottles are only available for pickup at our Chinatown Brewery.

    What about your IPAs?

This membership is for Highland Park Brewery Bottle releases.

    Expiration:

Membership is valid through Dec. 31, 2018.

    Cancellation of Membership:

Membership may not be cancelled or terminated by members for any reason. Highland Park Brewery reserves the right to cancel and terminate a membership at any time and for any reason.

Memberships are non-transferable. There are no exceptions. You must be 21 years or older to be in the Highland Park Brewery Bottle Friends Membership.

Only downside is no access to cans. Other than that, no brainer.
