haha, well I am very happy that you really enjoyed that brew. That was a new one off the line for me so I was glad to see how well it was received. I think that one will now be in the permenant lineup from here on out.

Just wanted to second the great work. A buddy of mine that works at WOB literally came running up to me and my buddies when we walked into the event with your PFDF and it blew us all away. So when are we going to start seeing these awesome brews on a regular basis?

Will you have stuff about that posted on BA? I'm headed to Florida this spring to visit a few breweries, and would love to make the trip coincide with such an event.

Berliners 'n Burgers would be fantastic! Killer combo...The Joint Bar & Grill (Pinecrest area) makes awesome food, plus they're into craft. They host tap takeovers, beer dinners, etc.

I wasn't able to make it this year, but I'm trying to catch up on the threads above. Hoping someone can clarify...

So about 5,000 people showed up, 2 bottle limit initially, they ran out of wristbands to purchase bottles around noon. But from the last few posts above it sounds like bottle with no limit were able to be purchased after 7:30 still?

    So what really happened?

There was a case limit starting at 7:30. A handful of people got in to buy extras, but there was still a decent line when they ran out.

I arrived at 8:45 am and was about 400 deep. By the time the gate opened people were wrapped around the Home Depot parking lot.

It was very crowded, and the lines to get beers were generally quite long. Most of the barrel aged beers were tapped on a schedule, and you either had to be in the right place at the right time or wait even longer for those.

All in all, it was a well organized event that was bigger than anyone anticipated. Still, I had a great time. I'm hoping for a new venue and maybe a ticket system for next year. Also hoping they'll brew more Hunahpu so they can raise the limit and make sure everyone gets some.

From what I heard they are going to raise their bottle count for next year. I thought it was very well organized. The Barrel Aged releases ran out QUICK! But what do you expect with 5,000+ people?! I had a blast and so did everyone else in my group. We are definitely going back next year.

If you weren't there here are some pics of how well organized this event really was. Yes there were a few things that could be made better but I certainly thought it was very well done. In the tradition of Beeradvocate I would give it an A or a 4.7-4.8. Hoping with a few changes next year will be an A+ or a 5. :-)

Had a great day at CCB. Even though I didn't have a wrist band for the Hunapu release, I was successful getting 5 bottles at the dunk tank!

Yup. You got bottles of 2011. $1 per throw. I wound up losing $10, but it was great fun anyway.

The very generous Netdigger2 won a bottle of CCB Cheers! (Warmer Winter aged in cognac, signed by Joey) in the dunk tank, then let me have it.

I would have gone after the '11 Hunahpu's, but got sidetracked when PFDF was tapped. Can't wait for that KtG! -maybe crack at BA Hunahpu's Release?
