Pollyanna is releasing their third flavored Fun Size: Maple this Friday 1/19. $7/500ml bottle and no limit.

 

What are some breweries that have really good food within near schaumburg? (besides Ram)

 

It’s not a brewery but they usually have a pretty solid tap list. I’d check out Kuma’s Corner if you haven’t yet.

Has to be for lunch and on the right days, but the Rammy’s subs brought over to a Mikerphone is a good move if you can leave Schaumburg

 

I can vouch for Rammy's Sub Contractors as I have them usually at least once a week.

 

The Open Bottle has Reserve on draft at open for their anniversary party today. Looks like a great day to Uber over if you’re in the area

No but I wasn't there too long. It was my first time there. Great tap list and store layout. Will definitely visit again.

Miskatonic Barrel Aged Imperial Stout The Bell Witch release today. Interesting price. $17 for 2 12oz cans. No limit.

Delicious barrel aroma and flavor. Slight char aroma becomes leathery and oakey with vanilla. Feel is full, just short of tongue coating-ly so. Not too boozy at 11% but it is definitely present.
These will be found under the stairs if they make it there.

 

Yeah, this stuff's pretty damn good. Cool space too.

 

Kind of related to local special releases, does anyone know if we can talk Mead on this board?

 

I was thinking the same thing. I wanted to start a Pip's 2018 release thread, but don't know if that's allowed.
