so does this mean chinatown is opening in Feb based on the pickups? or we can just go there to pick up and the actual brewery isn't open for on site consumption.

Is this even doable in a one day hop run?
    Am I missing anything here?
I guess you could have dessert at Beer Belly LA. And have one more pour before catching the last MetroLink back to the Big A.

Might take a few hours, but would be very easy, and awesome. Uber/Metro would be your friend, driving and parking at each spot would probably not be too fun.

Seems doable if you're smart about it, don't get completely smashed and Metro not being stymied by delays if you're thinking of using public transit. I'd say one pour or flight max at each location. I would possibly add Indie Brewing to the list in Boyle Heights if you can swing it.

    That would be easy.

Yes, there are more spaces available than there are current Beer Friends.

    Yup, Friday at Noon.

There are definitely going to be a lot of lower bottle count bottles this year.

There is a possibility that Science Sucks Apricots may get something like a Limit 1 non-guaranteed sale, got to look at final numbers.

    Thanks Greg!

Chinatown is getting very close and will be open by the time pickup is ready for Science Sucks Apricots. AND there may or may not be a member invite party to show off the new digs.

Can we read between the lines and assume that as soon as Chinatown opens that all future can releases and bottle pick ups will be done exclusively through there? As excited as I am for Chinatown to open I'm bummed it will probably significantly limit my Hermosillo visits - hopefully the food is comparable.

And just to think like 3 years ago none of these places even existed and us locals had to drive all the way to Orange County or Torrance to do a nice little brewery hopping day. Now it's right on our doorstep. I love it.

I'm really excited about the new location, but yeah, I love the crew at the Hermosillo so I'm bummed about the possibility of seeing them a lot less. I wonder if anyone from the Herm is switching over to Chinatown HPB.

I dunno, this don't look like a beer club to me. Where's all the overrated merch? The bottle opener that breaks upon first use? The $3 logoized gym bag? All the trinkets worth pennies?

Since I live exactly 1 mile from HPB Chinatown Bob and Ross joked that that will be the end of my 3 years straight of Wednesday nights at the Hermosillo but that definitely won't be the case. However, I doubt I'll be up that way very often other than Wednesday nights what with Barbara's, Lincoln Kitchen, and HPB Chinatown all far too close to me for my own good.

Question for locals, how's parking around HPB Chinatown spot?

OK, so maybe I shouldn't have referred to it as a "relocation" but I stand by my comments from back in October. If all bottle pickups are going to be at the China Town location, I just don't see myself making it to HP to go to the Herm anymore. It's just too far out of the way for me, otherwise. Pickups are my one excuse to go there regularly and enjoy the food and the atmosphere. I'm bummed.

I've only been to the Herm 6 times. Both locations are a drive from HB. The Chinatown location will be easier (depending on time of day>traffic) from LAX. But the Herm location is so unique. My last visit there my sis-in-law (who is not a beer drinker) loved the vibe of inside the Herm. Plus she was digging the food there. When she first walked inside she thought it was dark and dingy. Kinda like a ***** house. I only wish the drive was closer. Looking forward to checking out Chinatown and MT DTLA.
