AC seems to be doing a few things to shake up their bottle releases. Making Arawn an add-on with BA Pop, the silent release of Krampus, the timing here...I kind of wonder if they're trying to get away from the "line up for hours, sell out in twenty minutes" thing and actually have some bottles hanging around for sale later in the day. I've gotta admit, it was really nice to just walk up to the counter and buy some Krampus bottles last month.

I get what you are saying.... But

This will sell out..... Everyone from cycle will be there after they buy their tickets.

If they really wanted to get away from the "line up for hours, sell out in twenty minutes," they would release things silently much more often.

Or just follow suite with cycle. Put out more beer than anyone can pay for and people end up getting one or two and they sit around for a while. I think they still have bottles from that last set.

It would be funny if the BA day bottle was brinner...

Oh, absolutely. It just may happen at 10:30 instead of 9:45. Progress?

How'd it go? Limit of 2? Able to go through the line twice?

Line grow a lot between 8 and 9 due to cycle peeps?

When do people start lining up for releases? My cousin lives near AC and she’s always missing out these days on releases.

    As early as possible.

So far for all of the AC releases if you are in line before the release starts, you’ve been able to get bottles. The only exception was pb marsh popinski, which they told people had a lower bottle count. But otherwise they follow cycles protocol on counting the line about 15 min before the release and adjusting the bottle count to ensure people get beer. If they release ba igccs again during beer week, or maybe anything during beer week, that may be an exception to the rule.

    Thoughts on BA No Promises?

Everything i read about the og is talk of too sweet. Could the barrel correct that?

Suppose it may be pointless to speculate, until sipping it...but might as well guess.

I'm in. 18 months in a Bourbon Barrel has my interest piqued.

The base beer was exceptionally sweet even for them.

Just out of curiosity. Since I've only been down there a couple times on vacation, I've only had a few of the big stouts. Where does something like Woke rank on their sweetness scale?

If woke is eleventy, then the non BA no promises was a twenty. I am interested in the BA version, the question will be at $30, if it’s worth 1 bottle to see or multiple and hope it’s good. As a non stout I think it won’t sell as well, and could be left over for a couple of days.

Reason I asked was because Woke was too sweet for me, and I tend to enjoy sweeter stouts just fine. I had one other there that I really enjoyed, maybe a french toast variant or something? That was right on the edge for sweetness for me, where Woke was over the line for sure. My favorite so far there has been Saucin though. I know it's a BW, but it was the most well done as far as sweetness and use of adjuncts that I've had there.
