Was that the big news they hinted at revealing today? Because if so, that's lame.

Sat across from a guy at the rivalry series event that said he brought some water bottles to dump the Prop 14 into. Add that to the 4 or so items he had each for Amonte, Dempster and McCarty to sign (and spent pretty much the whole game getting autographs), and he was pretty much the worst of beer (and sports) culture there is.

If I sat across from you, great talking to you!

I'm always mildly shocked that people like this boast. I mean, the release of endorphin's must be from telling others that they are doing it, not because they believe that others envie them, or something.

    Wow.

On another note, how long has it been since I've mentioned in a chicago-related forum that I hate how lucky you chicago people are for beer? Prop 14 at a sports event? Fuck my life.

You might think we’re lucky, but just think how mad the guy was when he didn’t get to fill up all his water bottles because Prop ran out. A refund was demanded, I’m sure.

Just to calrify, my comment was meant to be lighthearted and hopefully funny.

    Those people suck very much.

I'd still take dealing with them + chicago beer scene over...none of all of it. If the positives didn't outweigh the negatives, I wouldn't have people like you to give a hard time.

I knew the lighthearted nature of your post...hopefully mine came through as such too. And you’re right...we have it pretty good here in Chicago - I’d be lying if I said access to great beer and wine wasn’t a factor in me wanting to stay here and live.

mostly . You had like 5 posts last night all in a row that seemed a bit punchy. Seems like too much Prop for you to handle.

Once you Prop, you just can't stop?

If they keep pouring Prop (excluding 2016), I keep drinking it!

Drinking multiple Props and listening to hockey guys talk makes one punchy, I suppose.

I would not have thought (inherently) that hockey would be the most craft-beer-y sport, but the more I think about it, the more it seems like perhaps it was the most manageable (over, say, football obviously). I'm curious, though.

That's the worst. Even if you thought this was OK, I don't get why you'd want to do it with that particular beer. Yeh, it's pretty rare, but I'm sure the event cost money and it's not like you could profit off of filling a portion of a water bottle of it up.

True, but if I based all of my decision on this I'd live in Town of Rockingham, VT, which appears to be the halfway point between Tree House and (take your pick) Hill Farmstead or Alchemist.

    People drink IPAs?

(*ignores that HF makes things other than IPAs*)

Fucking people. In 2010, I went to see KBS tapping at Map Room. There was a guy (an older guy at that) pouring his into a camelback bladder. That was a first for me at the time.

^^^ This. Slightly O/T but I went to Maplewood 'Lounge' for the first time last Friday and it was packed. It's only about as big as a 1BR apartment so I mostly felt like a sardine in there, but what made it so much worse was this one guy in a group of bros who for some reason felt the need to loudly announce that he knew nothing about Maplewood or IPAs so he told the bartender to pour him the closest thing they had to Bud Light..........................

    I almost lost it.
