I know I was joking. If I’m in handcuffs either something went terribly wrong that morning or went terribly right the night before.

Speaking of patchogue i wonder if they will have any “other half hates their customer” special beers on tap.

Does anyone know if the tap takeover starts at 10 with the can release or will they open at the normal time of 12 on Saturday for that?

Yes, I was there last week and was literally the last guy on line.

    See you there at 11

In completely unrelated news, I decided to pick up some Hopslam. This used to be the golden standard whale IPA for me -- I once drove 3 hours into PA to buy it maybe 6+ years ago (when Bells was only in PA).

....OH has spoiled me. We are lucky. This would be the worst beer I've had by them this year. Besides that, a 6-pack was $25.

I'm planning on going to Other Half tomorrow. Would 12pm be a bad time to show up for the taproom? I don't really care if I get cans or not, but don't really want to go if the taproom is going to be a zoo.

I'm thinking since HV and Equilibrium are doing releases it may not be that bad but just wanted to check

Never really liked it. Two hearted on the other hand is still a great beer. And better/worse it’s all preference and style. Most people seem to like beer that doesn’t taste like beer these days. The more it tastes like a fruit or dessert the better it is. Kind of weird if you think about it.

Yeah, I recall chasing hopslam just a few years ago...I recall going to treehouse and being disappointed...we are blessed!

So apparently Monkish brewed a beer in collaboration with a Seattle pizzeria in which they used pizza dough as an ingredient, and as unappetizing as that sounds, the beer (Beer Hope Meatballs) nevertheless carries a 4.40 on untappd. So either our West Coast comrades are not only literally, but figuratively in La La Land, OR pizza dough may actually be an acceptable ingredient in an IPA, which then begs the question: where is my Other Half x Di Fara DIPA?

Pizza dough flour, whatever the difference is between that and other types of flour I don't know. But not pizza dough.

In my experience, it doesn't start getting zoo-y until around 3 or 4. The only way it's busy earlier is if they have a new beer on tap that everyone wants to try.

Ha - yes, of course I'm familiar with the informal logical fallacy, petitio principii, however I'm merely using the phrase in a colloquial sense which many dictionaries accept (regardless of how grammar purists feel about it). When it comes to grammar, I'm generally in the Steven Pinker camp, so please pardon my informal use of the phrase :stuck_out_tongue:

Ah - I figured as much.

DDH Citra+Galaxy, Oh...Dream, and DDH Mylar.

I didn’t plan on going until I read there was no line. There were still stacks of everything when I got there and whole process took 8 minutes to home and back.

If only it was always this easy...

You weren’t kidding. I was in and out in 2 minutes. They had everything left. The place was packed though. Worst part was the traffic on main st.
