I did enjoy the Behemoth. Thanks for the reminder.

I was also reminded of this song by the car hard drive on random.

Good evening BA, hope everyone had a good Saturday so far. Time for the usual new beer reviews:

Excellent gose. Aromas and flavors of tart big key limes, lemon, citrus peel, pear, green apple, white wine, melon, coriander, sea salt, wheat, cracker, and light pepper/lacto funk. Light-moderate fruity/lactic tartness; light fruit/wheat tang, and yeast/coriander spiciness on the finish. Medium carbonation and light-medium body; balanced creamy/grainy wheat and lactic acid in the mouthfeel; some salinity and light spice stickiness. Light-moderate increasing lactic/tangy fruit dryness, minimal puckering. Very flavorful/refreshing, 4.3%. Didn't notice any vanilla beans as mentioned; but this tastes just like key lime pie, so they nailed it. Perfectly balanced key limes with classic gose style complexity. 4

Very nice Session IPA. Great head retention and lasting lacing on the glass. Aromas and flavors of tangerine, lemon, lime, grapefruit, peach, pineapple, passion fruit, mango, melon, citrus peel/rind, pepper, and pine hops; with moderate cracker, white bread dough malts; and herbal, floral, grassy hop earthiness. A bit muted on aromas. Light-moderate pine, citrus peel, herbal, grassy, peppery bitterness on the finish. Medium carbonation and light-medium body; balanced bready/grainy malts and sticky hops in the mouthfeel. Light resins/rinds, increasing bitter dryness, no hop astringency. Very flavorful and not watery for 4.5%. Never aggressive. Just like the Glorious; this tastes like they used Columbus/Chinook, along with the labeled hop Citra. Why do they "feature" a hop, and then put the polar opposite in the recipe lol. Doesn't make any sense. Very dank/vibrant hops, with a nice bready malt backbone from the oats. A bit old on this can, but really delicious. 3.88

Polish Baltic Porter. Absolutely fantastic! Amazing head retention and lasting lacing on the glass. Aromas and flavors of big milk/dark chocolate, cocoa, coffee, caramel, brown sugar, nuttiness, and toasted dark/brown bread; with light notes of smoke, leather, tobacco, molasses, licorice, toffee, vanilla, raisin, plum, cherry, and herbal hops. Mild herbal hop and roast bitterness on the finish. Medium carbonation and medium-full body; very creamy, bready, silky malt mouthfeel; slight sticky hops and chalky roast. Slightly increasing bitter/roast dryness. Perfectly clean lager finish, never yeasty, no acrid roast. This is top tier stuff all day. Very rich, complex, and clean Baltic Porter malt profile, with mild earthy hop balance. Never overly roasty, minimal fruitiness. One of the best I have had. Completely nails the style. Wow. 4.28

Staying at my daughter's house so stopped by the Veil Brewery earlier for a four pack. I think that even the much respected @TheIPAHunter would find this double IPA acceptable.

    What's up, BA?

Hit The Good Life today after something of a hiatus...
Opened up with Deth Cafe, a stunning barrel-aged imperial oatmeal stout from Revolution brewed with coffee (the coffee variant of their Deth's Tar stout) - didn't know what I was in for, but this was one of the best stouts I've had, and easily my favorite oatmeal stout ever...

Went with a Philly cheese steak sandwich for my entree...
    Paired with Barrier's Kapow! IPA...
Brews and food on-point as usual - great spot if you're ever in the area...

Super good day, capped off by coming home with this assortment of local treasure...
All nice and fresh - click this link if you want haul details...

Shit-ton of potential birthday nods, but I'll spare you the deets and just drop this list for your consideration: Mimi Rogers, Janick Gers, Frank Miller, Cris Collinsworth, Bridget Fonda, Alan Cumming, Mike Patton, and Patton Oswalt...

Trio of tunes from today's travels...

    Cheers...

IPA time again, Deschutes Fresh Squeezed IPA, ABV 6.40%, IBU 60. The flavor is honey & perhaps caramel with grapefruit and pineapple, finishing with a bit of a piney hop bite, but fairly mild. It is juicy and dank. It's pretty good and refreshing but not my favorite IPA.

Welp, guess I'll pull up a chair at the Hopslam table, BA's .....

..... complete with a Ranger photobomb (his attention is focused on the Frosty Paw that is his "Happy Hour").

The cartoon of the hops crushing the person on the can and glass is very appropriate .....

..... (yes, I took a drink ..... or two between the pics - shoot me) because this is literally a slam of hops. There's big citrus, there's resiny pine, there's a bit of booze, there's a touch of sweetness from the honey, and it's all dialed up to 10 (percent ABV), but it is still poundable. That's hard to do, but Bell's is world-class, so their ability to execute this magnificent beer is not surprising.

This is the first DIPA I ever had, and it damn near knocked me out that first time - I drank a couple of bottles (I'm old) like I was drinking Two Hearted. But I figured it out, and I loved it then as I love it now. A go-to every year for me. Cheer's, Hopslam Table BA's.

I may get to 10,000 posts of craft beer on this website, and still not come close to the amount of Miller Lite beers that I have enjoyed. Every single one of the Miller Lite beers that I have consumed were imperative for the complete triumph that I currently experience.
