That's pretty cool since I love Berman's. Can anyone confirm the connection? Or i guess I can ask next time I'm in there.

I couldn't agree with you more, great people and so awesome to deal with. CS has always been one of my favorite breweries.

Is that on shelves right now, or coming soon (the '17 version)? I've never had that one.
My favorite so far was Exorcism of Rachel Wall, I think.

You can google around, but yes...Gregg Berman founded Clown Shoes.

I believe Hephaestus is a Texas exclusive, but they were selling them at Ipswich Brewery during the Clown Shoes tap takeover.

I haven't had the new '17 one but I had the previous one. I was told the new '17 was different somehow than the previous one and was not as good however.

Hard pass as 99% of maple beers ive had are way too sweet for me but I really like that label.

i'm a big fan of sweet and maple stouts (though i was disappointed in lamplighters) so i'm really looking forward to this. I remember when they first posted on facebook that they got those barrels and asked for beer name suggestions. I suggested exorcism of gluskabe, the native american god that kind of made maple syrup (i totally had to look that up again) but this looks really nice as well.

99% of the maple beers I've had, I've barely been able to even taste the maple. Sounds like our beers should meet somewhere in the middle.

I haven't had a cloyingly sweet stout from Clown Shoes yet, so I'm optimistic about something balanced.

I hear they're on tap but no CS beers listed on their what's on tap page.

Bringing Clown Shoes back up because they've started canning Undead Party Crasher and Chocolate Sombrero, and that's awesome.

We are having our VT launch this Friday at farmhouse in Burlington. I'll be there as well as our head brewer Dan Lipke. Can't wait! Love Burlington.
