    A pic of my grandfather* in 1934 at Ballantine taking the temperature as the wort reaches the bottom of one their Baudelot coolers (< page down to bottom of my linked page for a pic of them)

    Yeah, and remember beer had only been legal for just about one year---- :thinking_face: unless he was using another Ballantine product before April, 1933?
