Other Half Brewing January 2018

Honestly have never had any of their beers. But I know hazebroz go gaga over that shit.

 

I thought the recent sand city collab was pretty damn good but otherwise not usually a fan of their IPAs.

 

I've had one of their sours and the unicorn vomit IPA. Thought they were pretty good but nothing to go nuts over. A friend went to the brewery and said the lines were just as long as a popular OH day.

 

The best of Aslin (Stellar Parallax, Master of Oranges) is as good as anything I have had from OH.

 

Yea I loved Master of Oranges, Double Orange Starfish, and Master of Karate. From what I've had from them I've been impressed.

 

Idk they just usually have a burn at the end but maybe its changed. I havent had a ton in the last 5/6 months.

 

Agree. Was down in DMV last weekend and got to sample 5 or 6 of them. All were really good.

 

6 months in the beer world might as well be 3 or 4 years ago the way things work now. Like dog years or something.

 

Aslin is on par with LIC, Interboro, Greenpoint but not quite consistent enough to be there with OH. Some are very good, DDH MoK for example, some are just OK. Both stouts I had tasted artificial, but were better than most OH stouts. I went on a Saturday a few months back, 6 cans available, and no line whatsoever.

Yeah my OCD is getting crushed by the dual threading (which I know I’m perpetuating)

 

I’ve had a few Aslins and they ranged from excellent to subpar. The best one was right up there with the best OH stuff to me.
