Per Barriers instagram it looks like they will be releasing 2 collabs with OH for NYC Beer Week, Secure The Bag, a DDH IPA and Bet, another DDH IPA collab with OH, Interboro and Carton.

 

Agreed. 1318 is the most flocculant strain I’ve ever used.

Maybe he got to actually dictate what they meant by DDH lol.

From what I’ve heard of Augie on the podcast it sounds like (assuming this beer is being made for the first time) this couldn’t possibly be labeled DDH since there’s no original version with a “normal” amount of hops.

So yeah he lost a bet or has joined the herd.

If a highly flocculant yeast strain results in clear beer, wouldn't they be the low- or anti-floccboiz?

So what's people's prediction for when the line starts? Before close today?

 

Its gonna be brutally cold tonight so I hope for everyone’s sake its not until at least like 1 or 2. But realistically im saying 8/9 pm.

 

There will definitely be a few people the night before, but tbh this is completely unnecessary and for bragging rights only, first 300 people AT-LEAST should get everything, and I'm betting 4th Anniversary will last.

 

the theory is massive dry hopping during active fermentation with a high flocculant yeast will cause some kinda biotransformation that adds to the "haze" in the beer.

Also if Carton is involved in "DDH," given Augie's stance on the usage, I wouldn't be surprised if it's "Didn't Dry Hop"

 

People did the same for Triangle Test and that lasted til noon.

 

Its all well and good if people want to wait hours in the freezing cold for beer, but there is a damn good chance whatever Other Half releases next week, the week after that and the week after that will be as good or better than the beers tomorrow.

 

and they'll be out there for those releases as well.

 

I like your attitude but the anniversary beers are pretty special.

 

True, but on the flip side if I don’t get a full allotment of all three beers and the associated cred on instagram, my life will be hollow and meaningless.
