Might be good since they did a nice job with Limbo.

Long trail is one of my favorite old school craft breweries. It is also one of my favorite places to have 1 (or 7) beers. Really well designed and cozy taproom. It’s especially great on a snowy afternoon...

They did Space Juice too which was quite solid.

My co-worker who skis K a lot tried this beer at the source & raved about it - he’s a Trill/Treehouse fanboy for reference. So for juice heads there’s hope for this one. Though no idea if LT plans on widespread NE distro on this beer.

Someone explain the name to me, please? Chateauguay is pronounced: Chat A Gee? I'm sure there's some interesting connection, but wow, what a terrible name.

Per a quick google search it would appear to be a village or "populated place" in Vermont.

It's a local wilderness area near the brewery, kind of an inside joke for this brewery-only release. This is the first scaled-up batch of a beer we're sending to market this spring, which will have a different (easier to pronounce) name.

    Hope you'll check it out!

Cool, will check it out. Hoping they did this out of a want/desire to make something new vs. feeling obligated due to current trends.

The first time I ever had Double Bag was at a BA fest years and years and years ago...it was fresh as fresh could be and ended up being total beer-piphany for me. Local + Fresh = Best

How bitter is it? Is it more of a Julius or more of a Heady Topper? Either way I'm looking forward to it and I could care less about the name.

It's about 30 ibu and exists more on the juicy, smooth, tropical fruit-filled spectrum.

Any true haze bro knows the juice can’t be consumed from a 12oz can. Gotta be 16oz bro.

Curious if they are using their house ringwood yeast or a more “traditional” NEIPA English strain. Ribgwood won’t work if they are going for big boy juice.

In the video they say they are using a new yeast strain.

Ha. As someone who LOATHES the 16 oz. can, especially for higher ABV IPAs, I welcome this.

I'm actually going to try it simply because it ISN'T in a 16 oz. can.

I pronounce it shat-oh-GAY. It's a running joke in my household where we use it as a term to make fun of uppity, snobbish rural folk.

Hopefully the beer is no joke, but if it's not going into distro, I'm not likely to find out...

I do hope it's in a six pack though. Four packs of 12 oz cans just don't seem right somehow.

There are a few strains that are being used which create esters that in conjunction w/dry hopping in the fermenter/conditioning tank play a large role in the overripe tropical fruit flavor profile of the big boy NEIPAs(Trill etc). London3 is the one most commonly discussed. Ringwood w/it's buttered popcorn flavor profile would create a beer that tastes like something else all together -- although I've never tried it. Anybody out there brew a NEIPA w/Ringwood?
