Real Ale - Coffee Porter

One of my favorites, always look forward to this time of year. Part of me would love this to be year round, but yet that would kill the anticipation...oh we'll, enjoy it while its available and save some for later.

 

Picked up a Sixxer of this and 2 4s of the Black Quad.

Didn't have it at Specs Bay Area today... though they did have the Black Quad.

 

Coffee Porter is now on shelves in San Antonio.

 

Who would have thought that Drew Carry had it right this whole time (Buzz Beer)

 

Was Buzz Beer a coffee beer? I thought it was just a lager with added caffeine

 

Dunno. It sounded good in my head.

 

Its was Coffee flavored beer, i loved those episodes.

Oh how I miss Insomniac. Especially that one time they did a double coffee batch. Best freaking coffee beer I've ever had.

I must just get lucky, just like when i go to NxNw and they always have Oak Aged Blackjack on tap but nobody else seems to get some.

Maybe y'all just need to hang with me when i make it out to bars.

 

Any of my clear lake brethren been able to locate this in our area? I've been out of town and haven't had a chance to look for it yet.

 

No... kept trying local Specs and haven't seen it. Stopped by the Shell in Friendswood today and they got some, but sold all of it.. they didn't get much... evidently HEB and Specs are getting most of it... but I don't think it has hit any of the HEB's yet.

 

None in Pasadena as of today.

 

I know this stuff is all over San Antonio and Austin..... still haven't seen any in Clear Lake. I don't have time nor the money to drive to Austin to get this..ha. Please get some to the Clear Lake area.. all I need is one or two sixers... I'll make em last a bit....

 

This beer is easy to get and lasts a while. No need to worry about it. It'll sit on shelves for months like every year.

If not, there is definitely a hoarding problem in Houston. lol

 

Good to know. I bought some last year, but wasn't looking for it.. maybe that is my problem.. I need to stop looking...

 

Hmmm... I don't know how I felt about this one. Had it at HM and I wasn't blown away. Good though

 

HEB in Pasadena had some 6'ers in stock tonight.

 

Same here, I must've gotten an old couple of bottles because the coffee was not prevalent at all.
