Haven't been there yet, but it's only matter of time (when on the Oregon coast Iusually hit up rusty truck brewing, pelican, and rogue) - www.seasidebrewery.com pub is in the town's100 year old city jail building.

Ooohhhh. Interesting locations, in my haste to one up Logsdon view I forgot about the actual thread. Buoy Brewing in Astoria, Oregon is in an old cannery on a pier. They've got glass floors in places and you can look down and see sealions.

Dan and Jen Hain bought an old Bank building on Colby street and turned it into a brewery. It used to be home to the State Bank, but was abandoned in 1966. Today, it is Fetch Brewing Company[IMG]

[IMG]Firehouse Brewing Company – South Dakota’s first brew pub - The Firehouse Brewing Company, South Dakota’s first brew pub, is the creation of a group of Rapid City locals who developed the idea of creating an onsite microbrewery after frequenting one of Denver’s downtown pubs. The idea was to return the building’s interior to its original fire-hall glory with the added feature of a brewery visible from behind glass enclosures. The new decor included polished brass and fire fighting equipment to adorn the walls, the bar, and even the ceiling. The Group of partners walked in the door on the evening of September 3, 1991 with sledge hammers and crow bars in hand. The project, now a part of history, was completed 93 days later. The Firehouse Brewing Company opened its doors to an eager throng of patrons on December 5th, 1991. Today the Firehouse is a favorite with locals and tourists alike and features a brewery, an indoor restaurant and bar, an outdoor patio complete with band-shell for live music, a Theatre, a winery and mercantile.

Natty Greene's in downtown Greensboro is a gorgeous re-purposing of an old three story structure with deep history. The area had fallen on hard times, had begun to be reborn, especially with Natty Greene Brewery at the helm. These guys were urban pioneers finding a strength in history. Nathaniel Greene was a Rhode Island Quaker and great American general officer that changed the American Revolution by standing up to General Cornwallis. After the Battle of Guilford Courthouse, the British army marched to Yorktown and surrendered. Natty Greene also has a major new brewery going into the Revolution Mill project in east Greensboro. This is the famous old Cone Mills denim production facility. It is amazing. Also, Haw River Farmhouse Ales, in Saxapahaw N.C. is a wonderful brewery built into the bottom of the historic Jordan Mills. B. Everette Jordan was a long time US senator, mill owner, and his family has seized the chance to re-make this place into something great! The entire project is a North Carolina jewel..

One of my favorite breweries in the Bronx. It's an old garage surrounded by used auto part shops. The beer is fucking awesome.

I'll second Brewery Vivant in Grand Rapids, MI as an awesome church redo. Also Petosky Brewing Co. in Northern MI is in a really old brewery that originally was set up to run off gravity from taking the well water to the top and then feeding it floor by floor through the brew process, pretty cool to see and they have pics and info about the old technique. Also Eel River Brewing in Fortuna, CA is in an old lumber mill that is very cool (and their production happens just up the river in part of an old redwood mill that was once the biggest building in the world.

Wynkoop Brewing Co. located in Denver, CO.

This massive building is an old 19th century mercantile building that is very nicely preserved by the brewery. You will never have trouble finding a seat in this place, but you might get lost:
