I mean...Porto's is as big a staple as you can get with Glendale. Also right near Glendale Tap is Dinah’s Chicken, a pretty well-regarded local fried chicken joint.

And I think the Glendale Pacific Plate taproom does Taco Thursdays every once in awhile? Can't speak for the quality but it's 12 bucks for AYCE.

Shake Shack opened in Glendale not too long ago.

I can't recommend that to anyone after eating here in SD. Cost and the fact that the food was average just added up to a one and done for me. But thanks.

For seafood tacos there's Ricky's Fish Tacos and Best Fish Tacos in ensenada in Los Feliz area. She can probably hit either the Burbank or Sunset location of Guisados pretty easily too. El Huarache Azteca just a block from Hermo too!

Proof on Los Feliz blvd makes ridiculous good croissants. Dune across the street has a bomb falafel sandwich, would put it among some of the best falafel in LA. Second Guisados for tacos. Theres also a solid taco truck that shows up in the Los Feliz Car Wash most nights. My go to spot after Glendale Tap but not walking distance.

That's Glendale Blvd, not Los Feliz. And as long as we're talking Proof, it must be said that Bill's Liquors is two doors down--easily the best beer shop in a few mile radius.

Ah, different strokes and all that . . . love me some Shake Shack. More than In 'n Out, for sure.

I would say that I prefer an IN n Out burger compared to shake shack. I think I would prefer shake shack fries, but I usually go animal fries because the regular fries are just...bleh.

Now if I have the time and not looking for a quick burger at like midnight, I will hit up the Balboa and Rocky's down here. It is quite the argument when you suggest one is better than the other. Both are delicious though.

I love me some in n out, but I had a Habit burger with tempura beans this evening for dinner.
So who's got the better shake? Actually I prefer the Habit malt shake. So rich n good.

And I actually like Umami Burger best of all.

Stout. If you go between 4-6pm M-F all good is 1/2 off. Plus, you can always find a good beer to drink there.
Can’t say the same for any of the others. (Umami has the worst beer selection)

So much second guessing about your palates now that I know how all your tastes run in terms of burgers... YIKES!

If money is no option, it's hard to beat sitting at the bar at Bourbon Steak for their burger. If money is an option, Eagle Rock (3 miles away) has the Oinkster. Head and shoulders above Shake Shack, In-N-Out, Burgerim, Habit. Those are all flawed. Hold my feet to the fire and I'll say Shake Shack is the least flawed of the group.

Glendale has a sneaky incredible sushi spot Sasabune that would be a regular spot for me if I lived there. Din Tai Fung is a rung below heroin on the euphoria ladder. I haven't hit the Americana location for Tsujita yet but their Sawtelle location is still one of the best bowls in the city. La Cabanita and Dinah's Fried Chicken should be staples as well. I don't know from taco stands other than El Suaz in the area, but in Eagle Rock (the same 3 miles you'd go to get Oinkster) you've got CaCao is which is has an expanded menu and is a gem.

Point is, y'all gotta up your burger games!

Well, if we start extending as far as Eagle Rock, I'll raise you one and suggest Hache in Silverlake.

Oh God, here we go. I apologize to you all in advance for the descent into what is destined to become a citywide burger debate abyss. As far as Silverlake goes, sure. Hache. But I'll do you one better nearby: Jay's. Better beer list, too.

Yup, it's a burger flame war. I've given Mick's a few chances but I really don't understand the hype there. It's fine but when in OC my go-tos were G Burger (so messy and great) and Hopdoddy.

Heading back up to the Glendale-ish area, def a fan of Oinkster along with their ube shakes. It's been a few years but Stout, 25 degrees, and Laurel Tavern were all great stops for a burger and beer
