Why do i bother going to shake releases when I could get 3 friggen cases of TH at a release like this?

 

They started selling at 11am. I think your times are off.

Agreed. Got a case of Oblivex and a 4 pack of the others. Soft sphere is flavorful. Crazy that I come home with that much beer and can't get 3 4packs on a shake release

 

And HH too (I'm a low ABV pale ale guy)

 

I got some HH at the general store too. Wish I got the fruit punch milkshake

 

So Extra Extra Knuckle this week. That's interesting to me as that was the first Tired Hands beer I ever had (3 years ago) and 105 unique Tired Hands beers later I haven't had it since. I wonder if they'll do a Thursday release this week with Valentines Day being Wednesday.

 

Anyone crack a bottle of the recent Freedom From the Known release? Curious to read some initial reactions!

I opened up Barrels 1 and 7 the other night and was pretty knocked out (I shared it, not that kind of knocked out)! Very reminiscent of beloved Brew Café bottles like early Para or Handfarm. Really nice!

 

Fruit Punch Milkshake was really tasty

 

Yeah, back in line at 10:35, still had beer at 12:05. My bad.

 

Opened it up on Friday. It was excellent, very tart, cherries shined through.

 

saw somebody on my untapped feed complain about the newest fftk bottles.. i forget what the complaint was but his score was like 0.25 so maybe bad bottle or something

saw some decent reviews of barrel 1 & 7 as well... would have loved to snag one but can't justify the $ on one large format bottle... would certainly split with some people at the cafe if it was available though

 

I pulled the trigger on a Barrel 1 & 7, I was in a mood after having the 2X Tangerine at the Cafe and was loving it. I'll let you know what I think of it when I crack it.......gonna need a friend or 2 to drink.

 

Got there at 6:15. No one there, literally. Ton of knuckle left and decent amount of church left at the time. Hoping Extra Extra Knuckle is as good out of the can as it was on draft.

 

Easiest release I have ever been to. Got there about 740pm, parked in a space right at the door. Went in and got my beer with no one in line. I think it took me longer to park my car then go get the beer.

 

Do they have any bottled Saisons or something else coming up?

Ahhh, I do see the have Freedom From The Known, that sounds great, I'd better get over there!

 

Heard some mixed reviews on this latest batch of FFTK...

 

I saw that too. "Notes of minerals" was something I didn't like to see used to describe it. I hope it doesn't taste like it came out of that concrete egg thing of theirs. I'll take one for the team and pop my bottle tonight.. report back.

 

Do they use the egg anymore? Some of the beers coming out of it were pretty rough. Had some ok beers when they were blended though.
