What beer are you drinking now? #1936

It's still producing that effect for me. I'm also being reminded of how powerful periods of almost total silence can be in producing an effect.

 

It’s losing a lot of the coffee notes, but the vanilla is fading too, nice warming chard whiskey twang coming through. Cheers!

 

Not what many people were expecting, I'm sure. I questioned what it would be like and decided on just a 4 pack for friends who asked for some. Is it a bad IPA? Absolutely not. Some might even say fantastic. Starting to feel like @thuey on these releases though (i.e. debbie downer); why do I even wait when Fieldwork routinely puts out better IPAs with an easier entry/exit. Moonage PA was great! Anyway... these guys make a lot of great IPAs. 'I'll be BACK'.

 

I hope I live long enough to see a parade for the Bengals. And Pete Rose in the HoF. Ah, who am I kidding?

Fates Warning Disconnected 2000 Metal Blade Records, Inc.

 

Canned Monday, the 5th of February.
Two days ago.
A tweak here and there from the first canning;
a bit cloudier, a bit softer.
Fantastic nose and flavor.
Tangerine, orange, tangelo.
Much better in the carb department than most cloudy IPAs.
Nice job from Ten Bends!

 

DFA Palo Santo. Love this beer and so does the wife. Gotta hide it from her .... or ... start chilling another .

Here we go. Canned yesterday. This 8.6% DIPA from Cellarmaker/Moonraker with Centennial, Mosaic, Citra, Ekuanot and Simcoe is tasting delicious. Even the wifey says it's the best beer she's tasted in a long time. Very fruity, with a little bit of dankness to finish.

 

No, but on the other Top 10 NEIPA thread, someone posted a pic of TG PS can. That's what I'm railing against. The cans were worse than mediocre.

 

This is freaking great. Almost a year old and just perfect.

Why did I open this tonight?? I touched on it a bit on Saturday but my Johnnies beat Duke. And, as I said Saturday, for one of the shittiest seasons I’ve ever had to sit through, beating Duke is always a treat.

Fast forward to tonight, we beat Villanova. In Philly. We beat number 4 and number 1 in 5 days. After not winning a Big East game all year and losing many games with a late lead. I’m genuinely shocked and I needed the KBS to calm down .

New local beer day is my favourite day... This one doesn't change my mind at all. Tons of tropical fruit and citrus hop goodness coming through, complimented nicely by a nice light body and moderate carbonation. Best of all? This one clocks in at only 4%. Session Ale indeed!
