CBC Belmont said on FB that all the cans they are getting are from the Iowa expansion.

From my understanding the FL experiment is done. All brewing will be done in IA.

Still kind of surprised by this. There are areas in the Southeast/TX,etc that are starved for elite beers. The NE is flush with options. My reaction to this is Clarks ego getting in the way of good decisions. The NE is flush with top tier beers. TG can compete.with quality, but it will be a battle

No they are still brewing in FL. FL cans normally stay in FL now or other local markets.

Your spot on, It's Clark's ego guiding this decision....

Obviously TG is doing better than Green Flash, but GF pulled distro from the New England area for a reason. It'll sell well for a while but fade away into the mix in no time.

TG is light years above Green Flash in my opinion.

Wasn't GF brewing Alpine's offerings? I know they fell off a little too, but may be more comparable to TG. Pipeworks is also entered this market last year, seemed to do well at first and now seeing more and more sitting on shelves.

Either way, I'm not comparing quality, but rather over saturation of hoppy offerings in this area in general.

I am so excited that being let down is almost inevitable. If they can deliver fresh King Sue that is up to their best standards on a regular basis, then I might not buy another DIPA off the shelves ever again! There is a big IF in that statement, but I can't wait to find out.

I feel like the Fountain of Youth could be served in the Holy Grail in MA at this point and it would eventually sit on shelves.

Much like every other new beer to MA, I'll try it, and if I like it enough I might purchase it from time to time...IF it's fresh enough.

I'm seeing Sip of Sunshine sit on shelves now too...

King Sue is awesome, i'd imagine whatever they deliver will sell out quick then it will be a few weeks before they pop up again.

I feel like TG is far above both of those breweries in terms of reputation. I'd considered them the Tree House/Trillium of their area. So while yes, they are joining an oversaturated market, I still think they'll be in very high demand. Also, they might only be shipping very limited quantities to keep cans from sitting around. Who knows... only time will tell.

I'll have to revisit Pseudo Sue, but both times I've had it in the past it never really blew me away. Not sure if Chicago receives distro from Iowa or FL though, so that could factor.

But like you said, guess we'll just have to wait and see.

Agree that it will be very hard for any but the best/most hyped breweries to come into MA and see beers sell out quickly in quantity over a sustained period. That said, I still think Pipeworks is great and look to buy more of it, particularly Ninja vs. Unicorn, which I have rarely seen on the shelf.

However, the out of market drops from EBF that I have tried have reinforced how spoiled for great options we are here, as I don't think any of them surpassed local options.

TG has the highest rated beer in the world on BA whether you think it’s hype or not that alone gives them insane cred. They have what 5 or 6 beers in the top 150. GF nor Piepworks have one in the top 250 right? Pseudo Sue would probably be higher if they hadn’t tarnished it by having it brewed at brewhub. If you’ve had a TG beer in a can before say December it was brewed in FL and those beers are totally middle of the road. When they’re on, they’re some of my favorite beers to drink. Been to the brewery, had a bunch of hoppy offerings very fresh. It’s soft, aromatic, flavorful, and well brewed and not your typical Midwest malt bomb. They were one of the first and only breweries to do a colab with Treehouse and I guarantee you Nate learned a fair amount from Mike and vice versa.

Green Flash killed Alpine, it is a shell of its former self.

Yeah I will likely buy some of their stuff the first few times, just like I did with SOS, Pipeworks, & Second Fiddle when they first got here. Now I just look right past them. But I do love Sosus. Excited to get that again.

I had Pseudo Sue years back from the bottle. It was very good .I'll probably give them a go when the beers hit. No matter how many beers they have in the Top 250 they will still end up rotting on the shelves at some point . MA is a graveyard after initial hype wears off and people move on. It comes with the ticker nature that is predominant in craft beer.

I'm about equally likely to buy SoS as I am to hit Trillium, so I'm very open to another great option in stores. If TG stuff is as good as I've heard and it's coming reasonably fresh, I'm excited.

Never tried TG before but will happily give them a go. If they are tasty, fresh and at the right price point I'll drink plenty. Much like I do when pipeworks lizard king or blood of the unicorn hit shelves.

A tasty beer out of a fridge on my way home is far more appealing to me than something more expensive that I have to drive out of my way for. Here's hoping TG can add to that.

What are they elsewhere, roughly? Do we have a general idea, 9 bucks a bomber for IPA as an example?
