I'd like to add my vote for Forever Simcoe as well.

It’s crazy that DDH ACE is considered pedestrian these days because that’s still easily one of the best beers they make.

haven't had DDH ACE in forever, might try and grab some if its around this weekend still. I opened my growler of Citra+Galaxy I filled Sat last night, so good. A great beer with 2 of my fav hops

Did someone say it was pedestrian? If so that’s fairly idiotic

Pedestrian by Other Half’s standards of course...no one really explicitly said it but it seems like hardly anyone gets too excited about it anymore now that it’s released fairly often.

That's a good thing! Let's keep the hypeboiz demotivated so that normal people can walk in and buy one of their best beers

Most definitely...the fact that you can walk into OH on a week day and pick this up with no trouble is a great thing. Seems like they may not hate locals as much as people thought :astonished:

Unfortunately I feel like OH sells the lactose versions of ACE and DMD quicker than regular "beer" versions, so they are more often canning the 'tosed up varieties. Just look at how many times regular DMD or ACE have been released in the last year, it's not as often as you might think.

if I roll into OH ~noon on Saturday, how crazy will the tap room be? is it generally over-run because everyone who came for the can release sticks around?

I just stopped going to the taproom on Saturday's before 3PM; it can still be busy but I've also been able to slip in between 3 and 5 and get a growler filled in a reasonable amount of time without jumping or knocking over stacks of cases tied to handtrucks.

Too lazy to check Instagram, but while I reckon you’re right on DMD, I think ACE (vs double citra daydream if that’s what you mean by lactose version) has been made a decent amount

the tap room has a special kind of odor on saturday mornings. its reminiscent of fish cooked in a microwave, combined with BO and a heatwave garbage day in NYC. the bar looks like the front lines of a game of thrones battle. i would much rather go in the evening.

i wish... smells of milk beard. which is where a hazeboi chugs so fast that all the lactose cakes up in his gnarly beard.

Not to mention the stacks (on stacks) of can hauls arranged on the taproom floor like some sort of trophy haul obstacle course. Walked in at about noon last week after grabbing some cans to get a growler fill and did an immediate 180 when the stank hit my nose. No 32oz of beer is worth inhaling that noxious air...

Man I’ve never even thought of that. Never been in before 5-6 on a Saturday and I guess most haulers have cleared out by then
