Yeah, I arrived at 11:10 or so, and there was a line out a the door. It stayed that way during the seven or eight minutes it took to get cans. I'm not surprised they sold out already.

This batch of pulp has less citrus (particularly orange) than I remember. More green shallots, grass, and melon. The mouthfeel was more full but also less soft. Keep in mind last time I had Pulp was a year ago during the previous beer week. Can't comment on more recent batches.

Eliza is nice. Plenty of brown sugar, dark coffee, some chocolate, and cream. I do wish it was 7% rather than 10% though. With a small few exceptions I don't find high ABV dark beers very drinkable.

San Ramon made sense due to one of the owners being from the area and that new complex off Bollinger is going to be pretty awesome when it opens up.

Abiding to the article it looks like they are looking for one more tap room after San Ramon. Would have to be the South Bay I'd assume.

Any estimate on opening? I’d gues awhile since I think the complex still needs some work.

November according to the article, but as is the case with most openings I'd expect that to slip.

So, Wax and Nine Trizzay are being released this weekend.

Has any one had either of these? How were they?

I would imagine Viking's Lament will not last long in Sac, anyone hazard a guess? I wouldn't be able to make it there until around 9. If it won't last that long I'll take my $ elsewhere.

Blackmill: I've had a bunch of Nine Trizzay. It's sort of like FW's version of Stone Ruin Ten. It's super malty and tastes very bit it's 9-ish ABV, but it has that FW fresh hoppiness. It's an end of the night beer.

everyone i sent wax to freaking loved it. it’s an enigma bomb, i liked it but didn’t love it. might swoop up some cans mainly for trade partners. definitely worth a try tho!

nine trizzay was not for me, west coast double (triple?) hoppy but super malty

Sac = Vikings Lament went quick, and shelves now look clean of Sticky Bandit too.

As noted above, Wax is all about Enigma hops, which can be divisive. The only Enigma beer I've ever loved was One Star Review but totally try this one if you haven't formed an opinion on Enigma.

Nine Trizzay, on the other hand…it's just bursting with hops and while it's got a much heavier body than most of the FW DIPAs I didn't feel like it was too malty. (Also, if you leave the last quarter of a crowler to sit for forty minutes all the fruit and floral notes may vanish, replaced with surprisingly still-drinkable dank dankity dankness. YMMV.)

ETA: Steath update on IG says that Wax and Nine Trizzay are tomorrow specifically, rather than just "this weekend".

Just a FYI. Some people from SAC drove up to Napa FW and they still had Viks Lament at 2pm.

I would call first though before driving....

Drinking a Sticky Bandit at the Monterey beer garden and this is a delicious beer. Wish I wasn't going to a work event at a fancy steakhouse right now or I'd buy a couple cans.

But I can't very well be late to the work dinner holding cans of beer lol

Picked up cans of Wax very easily at 11 this morning. Also had a taster of Sticky Bandit, which was pretty awesome. Gonna drink one of my growlers of Turok Juice so that I can fill it with Sticky Bandit.

Almost got a fill of it even though I have two cans left. It's delicious.
