I cannot wait for the initial announcement, and associated excitement, and then the inevitable change right before tickets actually go on sale.

Yet those same people will still somehow end up looking for tickets!

Im more excited for the inevitable change right before the event. Last year it was random variants. This year a map will be tweeted during the festival while 75% of the attendees are blasted (or better yet a series of riddles) and subsequent "easter egg hunt" around the compound for Handjees.

I'm guessing the change is $1,200 tickets that include 12 bottles of regular DL, one bottle of each variant, sample tickets for 3 tastings of DL variants and $20 in food and beer vouchers...

And yet someone would complain that there should be an option for $1,180 that doesn't have the food vouchers.

There should be a no food option!!!
Those food lines are way too long

No such thing possible at DLD.

On a serious note, it is the only option for survival for the people that don't bring any food with them to the fest (which is an amateur move). Also, for some crazy people like me who get into a line to get into DLD at 6:00A.M., I've never waited when I first walk in and grab my bottles. Usually I pick up my bottles and then I actually have time to debate which food I want because there are no lines.

The lines for food this year were not bad at all. I ate a good amount of food, it was all delicious, a I never waited more than 5 minutes tops.

I just need someone to remind me to eat. I get excited and forget to eat anything except for pretzels. I’ll go over to get food, and beautiful neckbeard strangers jump out of bushes and offer me strange and glowing liquids and then my friends ask where I’ve been for the last hour and I DO NOT KNOW, and that’s scary, I guess, but oh, what did you just open? Yeah, let’s try that side by side with one of mine! Did I get food? Did I go to get food at some point?

I think getting rid of the vouchers made most people feel less forced to use up their vouchers, and allowed for more natural forming lines.

The vouchers didn’t work because the weather was awful!!! If you managed to keep them dry while you waited in a food line for over an hour I guess they were useful. I didn’t use a single one and just ate at that restaurant in the hotel parking lot. This was 3pm and I was black out drunk, so I’m not sure my opinion really matters!? Last year I packed an Ultimate Porker from Jimmy Johns in between bombers. They searched my bag and the guy looked at me and said I was the smartest person there lol.

Fact: Kiosk prices for a sixer of Zombie Dust (and I think other types as well) went up from $10 per to $11.

Let that sink in for a minute.

OUTRAGE! (ok, not really, that's still damn reasonable, and cheaper than you'll find it anywhere else)

Regardless; I'm anticipating a YUGE spike in ticket pricing this year.

    Discuss.

I would be surprised if there was a huge spike, my guess would be $225.

I feel like I have been that guy handing out glowing liquids. Also beer.

Wow. If they start building there, I wonder if will they even be able to hold the fest on site? Not to mention, some of that property is sacred pre-opening bottle share territory! :stuck_out_tongue:

Do you think they will hold it in the 16,706 square foot terraced garden?? There’s even a “Hobbit Hole”!

That bridge must be for the sole purpose of a sacrificial ceremony to the Dark Lord during the festival.

I won't be. I still follow the thread for curiosity sake, but the beer isn't worth the overall trip cost to me anymore. Variants aren't consistently good enough either. More for others.
