Schell's Frost Hop Sampler Pack

Got mine at Cellar's Plymouth Wednesday - they had plenty at the time.

#1-Helles
#2-Dortmunder
#3-Pilsner
#4-Kolsch

None of them are bad, the Kolsch is really tasty too! However, the Helles and the Dortmunder are awesome. I'm already on my 3rd sampler. Thanks Schell's for the Frost Hop Sampler! Looking forward to Bockfest this weekend... I intend on drinking my fair share of tankards!

 

I'm having a hard time finding this in the south metro. Any leads?

 

As of last week when I talked with my sales rep, Hohenstein's has been waiting to hear back from Schell's regarding pricing structures. While, on the other hand, JJ Taylor just said "meh" and released it before hearing back from Schell's.

Take this with a big grain of salt since it's just usual distro banter, but that would seem to explain why the Frost Hop pack is still unavailable in certain metro regions.

Saw a big ol' stack at Cellars Plymouth tonight

 

Saw this for $15.99 at McDonald's Liquor in South Minneapolis yesterday afternoon, quite a few left. What are other people seeing for prices around the metro?

 

I'm pretty sure that's about what I paid. It was a few bucks more than all the other schells 12pks next to it.

 

I had a store in the East metro tell me that "the distributor" (I'm assuming Hohenstein's, due to location) is holding the Frost Hop until more of the Brewers series is out of stores. So take that as you will.

 

Finally found this in Faribault. The Dortmunder was excellent and outstanding - the hops, esp in the aroma, just bounced out of the glass (it was a sight to behold ). I liked the Kolsch and Helles but not like I like the export. Will have the Pils later today.
It's fun having a superb lager brewery in this state.

 

too lazy to start an new thread, but does anybody know if schell's is doing the "box of bocks" again this year? Tried to look on their website and didn't see any info.

This stuff is amazing! @bergbrew kudos to you and your company. Your name came up at BlackStack last night supposedly you don't travel north of the Minnesota river anymore. lol.

 

Has anyone heard if Schell's is doing this again? Last year, it was a nice break from the winter BA release madness.

 

This year it's the Peacock Pack. Similar approach to the hops varieties used, but a wider range of styles being in the mix.

Being pleasantly surprised to see it at my local, I snapped it up and drank all of the things.

 

The BA madness is only over once you've lost a foot to diabetes.

 

When when did this come out?

I miss Schell's. How's the Munich dunkel? Nice to see someone make one in the US.

Not sure about the tangerine lager, though....
